Fun Fact: Years after this thread was made, the author of this post got "Troll's Remorse" and asked for this thread to be deleted because he's a troon.
This thread is for any small-time sideshow attraction on social media concerning a tranny. It doesn't matter what site, as long as they're just weird and voluntarily putting themselves out there and it doesn't belong anywhere else, it goes here.

Original Post specifically about Reddit
Reddit's trans community is notable for "sucking in" people, circlejerking about how great it is to be trans, and enabling people.

Some notable subreddits:

https://www.reddit.com/r/asktransgender/
https://www.reddit.com/r/MtF/
https://www.reddit.com/r/transpositive/
https://www.reddit.com/r/transadorable/
https://www.reddit.com/r/traaaaaaannnnnnnnnns/

AskTG is where people go when they need "help" with their "transitions". Dissenting opinions are banned, and the answer to all the questions asked are usually "go forth and transition." They talk about how to get hormones, how to deal with being "misgendered", and other things.

They also hate Trump.

MTF is directed specifically at the guys ladies.

Transpositive: When the trans people want to post a selfie or talk about their positive experience, they get to avoid all voices of reason and get a bunch of "OMG so happy for you!" To them, hiding from the past and changing your name is an "authentic lifestyle."

Transadorable: a trans subreddit just for vanity pictures! For when you're so confident, that you have to share your face with strangers!

Then there's /r/traaaaannnnnnsssss (not sure if that's the right number of letters).

And there are plenty of other "safe spaces" like these.

Reminder we live in current year where it is celebrated to commit self harm through surgery and hormones.

In the western world, when has that last occurred in history? Not counting death in military for glory but straight up self harm.

And people say we have advanced in civilization. We are below the Romans and below the Vikings. We just feel we are civilized because we are the first with interactive glass rectangles.

That is not a thing I needed to see, it looks like a botch job you'd see on a "cosmetic surgery gone wrong" show; and yet I know that's one of the better end-results.

Given that trans people have an abnormally high suicide rate, around 48% kill themselves before they turn 40, this takes a much darker turn. As a society we're effectively cheering people on who, statistically speaking, live shorter, more miserable lives and have a near 50% chance of not even reaching their 40th birthday. Worse, this shit is being pushed onto children at younger and younger ages, with children who are yet to hit puberty "deciding" to become transgender by taking hormone blockers; effectively meaning they never actually go through puberty.

After finding these sorts of threads on here and elsewhere on the internet, reading up about trans HRT and surgery, having trans people I've met and trans people I'm acquainted with through others causing needless drama and posting nudes on facebook. I'm finding it really hard to come to any other conclusion that this is a mental illness.

According to many doctors and other medical professionals I've got it all wrong though.

You know what the real shame is? Any doctor who releases research or studies that go against the narrative will get attacked by colleagues, such as the one John Hopkins doctor who had numerous people in his field attacking him for criticizing it and saying that autogynephilia is real (if you google that phrase you'll get sites saying "ITS NOT REAL"). This means that any research or studies that try to help these people live normal lives where they aren't questioning their gender or chopping their dick off while living life wallowing in depression and self pity is pushed aside in favor of 58 genders.

Even around the time I was in middle school I learned that the scientific method starts with a hypothesis and then uses evidence to prove it, not coming up with an end result and arranging the data so it fits. That's the same method of deception that creationists and flat earthers use when saying "science supports us", and it worries me that any cure is going to hit a wall because it wouldn't be politically correct to come up with a hypothetical medication/therapy to allow someone to accept their body, despite the fact that transitioning (which has extremely mixed results) is. I've seen a pretty common viewpoint online in certain circles that transitioning will be seen as the 21st century version of a lobotomy, and it's easy to see why.

Keep in mind, this is referring to people suffering from dysphoria. It's even worse for people who were convinced by people in the community/other trannies they had dysphoria, and then go on to get the drugs illegally from very questionable sources to start transitioning based on guides they read online (and that's if an "informed consent based clinic" doesn't give it to them). This oftentimes results in even more unsatisfactory results than getting medication the legal way, due to the nature of dysphoria and the fact they're taking the drugs based online without tests.

One such example is /r/TransDIY, and they actually had an article on The Atlantic. This is actually a very divided topic in the community according to the article and not because of transtrenders either, but because it's risky as hell, and the Atlantic article doesn't even talk about the negatives of it besides the usual "blah blah online pharmacies are illegal and shady" stuff.

I've seen it pointed out before that that actually is a rather botched surgery result but then what do you expect from someone who goes to a back-alley doctor in Thailand to do something like this

Do I even want to know what "dilation" is in this instance? Are they trying to stretch out the frankenpuss every day?

    1. the act or action of dilating: the state of being dilated: expansion, dilation

    2. the action of stretching or enlarging an organ or part of the body

Everything from reading to seeing that was absolutely horrifying and I feel bad for this person.

I can't remember where, but I read an article quite a few months ago where someone talked about the reddit trans community and how they watched a teenager go from thinking they just want to wear women's clothes to trying to sneak HRT illegally within two weeks because of that community. Two weeks. That's terrifying to think about. I can see that kid turning into this person really easily because these assholes don't know how to self reflect and realize what they're doing to their bodies is pretty damn radical, medical need or not, and they shouldn't immediately tell everyone they're trans for liking pink.

Someone collected shit trans people spew on reddit. From offering hormones to minors - to calling lesbians vagina fetishists.

also https://www.reddit.com/r/actuallesbians/

Supposedly for lesbians but like 80% troons. Penis jokes are forbidden and you get banned or downvoted into oblivion for even questioning why not dating male troons is troonphobic.

The mods are troons or women dating troons.

I generally have a live-and-let-live attitude when it comes to people who want to transition, but my umbridge comes from those who think that there's something innately superior about being trans. I'm not talking about someone who feels more at peace with their body after transitioning, I mean the type of people who think that being trans in and of itself is a positive thing that should always be celebrated.
