When I was in junior high, I had to do some assignment in the library because I forgot my gym clothes at home. At the table adjacent to me, there was a kid with a counselor. They were talking and he was getting frustrated. He said something along the lines of "I just don't get it and it makes me angry. I just want to take a chainsaw and cut off both my arms." Rather than console him, the counselor said "how would that even work? You could only cut off one arm. You wouldn't be able to hold the chainsaw to do the other. You know what? That question was as silly as what you just said, let's stay on task." I salute that counselor to this day.A close friend of mine recently attempted suicide by trying to cut off her hands and bleeding out.
This was a close personal friend i met through tumblr and we were in a big fandom (not telling which because you would know her if i told) and we bacame great friends. over time however she would stop talking to me and other people for weeks on end and became a recluse. The other day she texted me and told me that she had just gotten out of the hospital for her second suicide attemt.
She said she was tired of the constant bullying and wanted a way out. when i asked her why she wanted to cut her hands off she said that she was addicted to masturbating and felt extreme disphoria when she was feeling her p*nis, which led to dismembermental thoughts.
She's been out of the hospital and luckily still has her hands intact but i fear she's going to try something like this again. this wasn't her first time and i'm afriand it wont be her last. what do i do
If the counselor really cared they'd of cut the kid's arms off then roll them in some carpet, tie both ends closed, and throw it into a lake. It's the only proper way an educator should respond to the possibility of an autistic chimp-out.When I was in junior high, I had to do some assignment in the library because I forgot my gym clothes at home.
