Trans pro wrestler Kidd Bandit left the ring in tears after what looks to be her final match for the foreseeable future at EFFY’s Big Gay Brunch 11 during WrestleMania week in Las Vegas.

Days earlier, she hinted at stepping away in an X post dated April 18, writing: “That’s all folks! Thanks for tuning in.”

The farewell moment unfolded on Saturday at the flagship LGBTQ+ wrestling showcase. Bandit competed in a Femme Fatale four-way match against Steph De Lander, Charli Evans and Allie Katch. As the bout began, chants of “Thank You, Bandit” poured in from the hundreds in attendance.

Bandit’s match ended when Katch pinned her after a Heatseeker piledriver, as per Outsports. After the bell, Katch embraced Bandit, then left her alone in the ring to take in the crowd. Bandit removed her kickpads and left them in the middle of the ring before departing in tears.

Soon after, Bandit reflected on the moment in another X post, writing: “Lost most of my matches. Won everyone’s hearts. Thank you. I already miss everyone.”

Bandit’s goodbye capped her final few appearances as an in-ring competitor across WrestleMania week in Las Vegas, culminating at EFFY’s Big Gay Brunch 11 on Saturday.

Kidd Bandit and queer wrestling spaces​

Bandit is a prominent figure on the independent wrestling circuit, known for an anime-inspired aesthetic and high-energy persona. She has been widely recognised within queer wrestling circles and has used her platform to speak about trans inclusion and safety in sport and performance spaces.

Big Gay Brunch, held around WrestleMania weekend, blends camp performance with indie wrestling, and EFFY has spoken about how drag and wrestling have much more in common than you might think.

Bandit publicly transitioned during her wrestling career and was away from wrestling for between 2023 and 2025. She has also recently founded T4T Wrestling, hoping to create space for trans and non-binary athletic and artistic expression with wrestling and other art forms.

According to his KF thread, fat filipino Joseph Bryan "Kidd" Nuguid started his indie wrestling schtick in late 2021. If he took 2023-2025 off to troon out, that means he's "retiring" from about 2.5 years on the LARP wrestling circuit?

per cagematch.net, he had about 200 or so matches in his career from June 2021 to 2026. He didn't wrestle from September 2023 to March 2025. He is around 37 years old though which would be an age in normal pro wrestling to retire.

But rather than retiring, I think his plan is to run a wrestling school and wrestling promotion for troons. To make money off his fellow troons doing campy LARP fighting in anime costumes rather than performing for them. The previous troon wrestling promotion (t-boy) ended with the usual inter-troon drama, nobody getting paid and all the money getting stolen.

At the time, they were generally willing to "train" anyone who could pay for the 12-week course. Even if they were no good at all like Kidd Bandit. Part of the cynical reason for it is that having guys trained up to the level of tackling dummies for the more serious students is worth something in a camp like that. I mean his age alone (maybe 31?) when he did the Nightmare Factory should have resulted in someone sitting down with him and explaining that it probably wasn't going to be worth his time or money to go to that camp.

This nigger is going to train people???????? Anyone who's seen clips of Kidd Bandit knows he's as good of a wrestler as a quadriplegic in a lifting competition. He wrestles like he's underwater. The only thing anyone can learn from this dude is what not to do.
