Transformers general thread - Toy Robot men based on giant robots based on previously mentioned toys about said robots

Earthspark is getting more deluxes this year. Soundwave looks pretty good. Hopefully Cosmos will turn out good as well.

I'm actually kinda stoked for ol' stealth bomber Soundwave here. "Only" 20 bucks and looks to have a really neat transformation with his legs exploding into wings.

Sidenote: BBTS has SS Commander Prime in stock again if you missed it before.

I could really do without the trailer's added cost to be honest.

Im shocked that such a mid-at-best show had such a killer Soundwave design.
I think they let Earthspark have so many unique, original designs and ideas so they could let it fail and say "It's not worth deviating from evergreen designs because people don't care about them". The future's going to be Cyberverse levels of lazy when it comes to toys and designs (and even Cyberverse had some good designs, but they were all shoveled into one-step changers and those half-transforming ones), if Reactivate's cancelled toyline is any indication.

DX9 Red Storm (Sideswipe).

Pros: Gorgeous bot mode, fits together very well. I can hardly tell it transforms (the vehicle is nice, too).

Cons: Fits. Together. Very. Well. I don't know how I'll get this back into vehicle mode, no less go from vehicle > bot again. This thing's tolerances are too perfect. Also, no printed instructions, boo.

The other half of the show was just "this'll totally get those icky transformer-dudebros angry, teehee!"

Anyone who simps/ openly idolizes Decepticon characters are IMMEDIATELY red flags in my book. Avoid at all costs. It's fictional Ted Bundy syndrome. Or a fictional case of 'I can fix him'. All I know is that these fuckers have skeletons in their closet and they should be avoided. This can apply to most traditional villain characters, in my observation over the years.

I managed to snag some old TF school supplies from a surplus store recently. They're for goodie bags for a charity run our church is doing. Kids'll enjoy that; they're the true (and best) clientele.
The villain simpers are pretty bad but the people who want to treat them as the good guys in the franchise or see them as "heroic Marxist progressive revolutionaries" are worse.

There are some deranged fucks out there but liking decepticons better than autobots is like the least red flag-ish thing ever. yes I am saying this as someone who has nearly every visually significant variant of the siege megatron moldand openly thought megatron/galvatron should have won as a kid during beast wars/unicron trilogy because I thought he was cool even though i knew he was gonna lose because antagonist. Calling him marxist is fucking stupid considering megatron's whole thing in a big chunk of transformers media is like "get energy for cybertron and take over world/form society where the strong lead (him). That's like directly opposite of communism/marxism.

Now simpings bad in general, but if they simp for fucking UNICRON though they're a degenerate squid headed bitch who deserve to get crushed in a grinder.

They overproduced Marvel and Star Wars toys and said that they were selling super well even though you can still find some Last Jedi toys in stores 7 years later.
Not just last jedi, there's solo and even some force awakens stuff that keeps showing up going up and down in price at various discount chains!

It's sad that Earthspark failed because, even if the show was mediocre culture war ragebait, it had great toys and robots. I hope these get released; heavy jet Megatron as well as Thrash and Twitch were excellent. Stealth jet Soundwave looks great (when's the last time we got a stealth jet Transformer?) and the purple truck has a really smooth alt mode. I just wish classic car Arcee got released as well as that race car character.
These would be interesting if they weren't still that weird "non MP collector line price but engineering and plastic quality of the cheap gimmick toys and no scaling" thing all of these earthspark figures have.

Those hearts of steel figures engineering wise look like direct KOs of the third party ones from like a decade back watered down like actual knockoffs would be years ago lmao. Also holy fucking shit optimus is just the front of the train that looks fucking disgusting.
EDIT: ah... ebay is only scalpers for the MMC seekers now... Kinda wish i got them a few years back whent hey were everywhere on discount for 30, no way in hell am I paying 400 for them. No way in hell am I paying the eventual scalper price of 200 for this pack either.

Why do they keep using digital renders that always make the figures look worse?

The same reason they keep omitting panels and sliders or hinges or even fucking wheels in some figures. Cheaper and lazier. On fucking reveal this thing is being outclassed by an over a decade old figure that was trying it's best to emulate hasbro's engineering at the time it came out.

By the way Ironfist and G1 Carovac were also teased as well as Noisemaze and G1 Slugslinger and a G1 Sandstorm
The state of this convention I wasn't expecting much but now I want to see if they can bring out more leaks like this yearly.
Jaruga, Hellbat, Leozack and Gaihawk are the only ones in that team that look good. The helicopter mode looks half assed, and tanks look like bricks.
Also, holy fuck! $428.70 to back it! $72 per deluxe!

TFW2005 got some good up-close shots of the prototype at Megacon.
The back is mistransformed though. You shouldn't see Jallguar's whole face and hands, they're supposed to be spun around and put away.

I'm torn on if I like the "missile pod" that's clearly Liokaiser's crotch and legs. On one hand it's lazy and partsforming (technically.) On the other it does make some good looking and sturdy legs, and it's probably more cost effective than trying to fit them in the other toys. I would like extra combiner bits to not become the standard though.

And here is a gallery with a bunch of upcoming figures including the HoI ones. I don't care what you say about Optimus I love that goofy little tank engine.

Unpopular opinion maybe? But I think Hasbro should just lease their TF license off to the Chinese 3rd party dudes. They can make good engineering and give (most) of us what we want, just with a few detail and name changes. All I know is that I'm not digging anything outside of some SS and gimmick figures. Even then, I'm not paying the price they're asking for SS these days. I'm just glad consoomers are trying to cope about it. Thanks for reminding me of Hearts of Steel.

Anyway, here's a shit post piece. I grow tired of influencer culture so I just made a few TF characters gawk at the Farms.

I must sneed via drawing. The urge is too strong I'm sorry.
