I feel like aftermarket values wouldn't be so ridiculous, if Hasbro's distribution wasn't total fucking dogsh!t (which leads to scalpers pouring gasoline on the fire, by snapping up any new figures on the shelves since they're guaranteed to have an aftermarket value, due to said shitty distribution).A few years ago voyagers were that price. Insane how much shit spiked. Don't even get me started on the grotesquely inflated "aftermarket ""values"""
For example, despite Transformers One releasing in the fall and not doing particularly well in theatres (it was an amazing movie, but I guess its marketing sucked) I spent months looking for Transformers One figures on my local Target & Walmart shelves. Mind you, I tried more than 1 store!
I thought the rumors were Hasbro canceled all its upcoming film projects due to the disappointing box office returns of Rise of the Beasts/is potentially focusing on being acquired/a merger? That’s assuming they’re still planning to make a sequel. You’ve got to remember that Chris Cocks (lmao) said they’re moving away from producing films and focusing more on video games. Which is a really retarded move on his part, considering Hasbro laid off the people who worked on Baldur’s Gate 3 and wasted $200 million on Deactivate.
Idk what this tech bro is doing with Hasbro, but I have a feeling it’s nothing good.
Edit: this post was from last week, it just never went through and I just noticed it.
