So anyone willing to help me with a problem? I'm trying to figure out Transformers continuity and is there a list or graphic that simplify it for those like me that are completely lost? Like just G1 continuity spawns off multiple different sequel continuities and i am just lost
Because really this is not properly organized

Anyone know where to get the cartoons online without it being massive in size?

Trailbreaker, Windcharger, Cliffjumper and Sideswipe are best.
BLACK AND RED, OKAY?

Blaster is pretty awesome.
There's a great part in the Japanese cartoons where Blaster and Soundwave have their big One Shall Stand type showdown moment
they just stand there shooting each other until they both fall over, die, are mourned, and promptly come back to life like one episode later with a new paint job and the ability to hold two tapes at once buy more toys

So how do we feel about Earthrise?

I've been weirdly fucking scatterbrained today and loud ass shit going down in the background the whole time I've been trying to just chill for a bit hasn't helped so sorry in advance for the fucking mess about to unfold as I try to gather my fucking thoughts and post my replies proper here after noticing this thread has had recent-ish activity.
So how do we feel about Earthrise?
Earthrise figures have been overall hit or miss, but they never fucking stocked anywhere nearby me and were just scalped for way too much fucking money on Ebay. I hate that mainline characters were extremely limited preorder exclusives on top of that. The only earthrise figures I've mainly managed to get my hands on were ironically online exclusives like the fucking corpse optimus prime. There's apparently a common quality control issue with that variant where the torso won't clip in fully and eventually breaks, but thankfully my copy doesn't have that. Also somehow managed to get the netflix optimus and soundwave, the latter of which is blatantly one of those "retroactively made an exclusive" kind of deals I'm generally pissed about.
I actually finally managed to find the quintesson and alicon figures online for cheap, but I've never seen them once in stores despite them not being exclusives. People in general have been waiting for figures of those guys since the movie came out but they were one of those strange "no toys" kinda characters despite frequent appearances.
Overall it seems that despite the extreme variations in quality of Earthrise figures, They're a hot item for price gouging. Scalpers hawk the fucking things and those new gi joe figures like nothing I've ever seen in my fucking life! No way in hell am I going to pay 200 fucking dollars for a 20 dollar toy, and I'm surprised people out there are ready and willing to do that with all this lockdown economy collapse shit in play.
The show was canceraids
The Netflix series has been kinda boring or shitty in some parts so far but they do some really interesting and actually good things with megatron's characterization overall. He more or less just wants the civil war to end so his people can have peace but he's got that little fucking satan bastard shockwave sowing the idea in his mind that there really is no way other than total violent murder death, and when shit goes fucking south due to the planets life-juice producing macguffin getting tossed through a rift he's literally faced with no other choice than to go through with shockwaves monstrous scheme of literally draining the life force from the lower rungs of society. The opening for earthrise where it shows him kinda remniscing and mourning the fact he "had" to kill his long time friend magnus via him talking to the fucking head of his corpse was an intense moment properly showing his inner turmoil and how far things have fallen out. I really wish they'd just go full on with the deep characterization shit instead of just fucking rush jobbing it like they are for pretty much everybody but megatron.

Might as well add to this fucking mess of a text pile to just point out I'm fucking pissed at the current state of the masterpiece line. They keep inflating the prices while making the figures out of shittier materials. I love the aesthetic dedication they've been doing to the source material but I cannot afford to pay 300-500 dollars for a fucking figure that just a few short years back cost 75-200 depending on the size and had better QC and materials. I mostly couldn't afford those ones either but I did get a third party MP galvatron for 60 from some Chinese seller on EBay called like bababobo or some shit, as well as a third party twincast MP figure for like 30 from BBTS on sale around that timeframe. Both are incredibly fucking solid and I'm thankful to have them as my only real "masterpiece" kind of figures. I'd send photos but I'm too lazy to set up a proper photo taking space again right now. Been thinking about making a diorama kinda setup for that sometime, honestly.

If they keep using transparent plastic like they did with Earthrise I’m gonna jump ship. So many solid figures compromised by their materials.... what is this the fucking 90s?

I managed to set up a kinda bootleg ass photo space just to show off this thing I found a few months back. The figure on the right is part of the Cyberverse gimmick line, but it's kind of an oddball because the design of it is just the g1 sharkticon/Gnaw rather than the actual cyberverse show's design. I've gotten a few of the things for incredibly cheap a while back with the intention of probably giving them a custom paintjob someday. They strangely scale perfectly with the current lines. I kinda dig how the visible head is dealt with using a sort of optical illusion to make it look like a strange saw-blade tongue thing. It's not really accurate to any version of the sharkticons appearance-wise, but it gives the thing a bit of character. If you can find them for the cheapass price I paid I'd recommend the figure for sure. No way in hell is it worth the original 15 dollar tag, though.

Brief followup to that post I put here a few days back, the Quintesson finally showed up in the mail today. It was crushed in the bubble mailer and soaked by the rain. The system didn't even mark it as delivered till about an hour after I got it inside. One of the 2 loose faces had somehow escaped the tray and gashed the figure inside the package as a result of the earlier mentioned package squashing. Shitty experience with this delivery aside, the figure itself is pretty fucking great! As if by some universal karma, I had no trouble attaching the devil/wrath face people complain about. A fucking relief, knowing the horror stories I've heard about that shit.
