Oh god, I’ve got another five hours of work left. Here we go...
I rather like each of them. I need to change the tail out on Nightprowler so he can be a proper snow leopard.View attachment 2868191
It’s amazing that we are at a point where these guys can casually put up a pic of four leaked figures and it isn’t a big deal.
Anyone interested in some of these guys? Or are you hiding out for Studio Series/Legacy?
Here we go...
I'll wait for another reviewer. This guy tends to be negative on a lot of good figures. Here we go...
To me it looks mediocre, not great or terrible. The weird legs, head panel and stocky build seem to be his main issues, but the last one might be fixed a little by angling the shoulder joints up more.Oh god, I’ve got another five hours of work left.
How bad is it?
Reminds me of the design that was used for the really old Soundwave music video on Youtube. Finally got to framing my limited edition soundwave print - felt it would be appreciated here.

Looks separate to me, even has little flaps to help the arms move forward.I saw a post speculating that Laser Prime’s shoulder pads are locked and aren’t connected to the arms at all, there is merely a flap that gives the illusion.
Meaning the arms are independent of the crazy 90s shoulders that made posing past Laser Primes awkward. Looking at photos I think they’re right on the money.
I really wish they engineered in some of the characters with shoulder pylons to have the optionof the pylons tilting with the arms. Magnus is a glaring example of this as though whenever he's animated it shows the pylons moving with his arms but every figure of him save for the masterpiece does the arm flap thing. Sometimes it looks fine but sometimes it looks fucking weird and stiff. They do the same thing with characters who's arm pylons are supposed to be static which makes them look weird when they put their arms forward which makes shit look even weirder. If that flap IS a forward flap thing that's gonna be kinda funny but useful. I'm honestly still surprised bulkhead wasnt a pretool for laser prime with how similar his tooling is to the g2 figure. Maybe it was originally going to be but then they decided siege prime retool looked better?Looks separate to me, even has little flaps to help the arms move forward.

And as usual, we get another Matrix.
The arms are gonna take an articulation hit but not as bad as we all feared when we thought the arms were linked to the shoulders pads.Looks separate to me, even has little flaps to help the arms move forward.

Also has flaps for the missile rack.
It still chaps my ass that the entire lower half is ER Prime.I really wish they engineered in some of the characters with shoulder pylons to have the optionof the pylons tilting with the arms. IThere's hinges on the inner parts of the shoulderpads. It might end up being a case like siege starscream's wings where they can just kinda move out of the way really easily. The arms are gonna take an articulation hit but not as bad as we all feared when we thought the arms were linked to the shoulders pads.
His arms are lower than the shoulders too. Not noticeable with the flap down but some poses will look a little weird. The arms are gonna take an articulation hit but not as bad as we all feared when we thought the arms were linked to the shoulders pads.
Wish his trailer had an ER connector.

Bulkhead is going to be Cyclonus/ Snowcat. It's not that hard to change out the back tires and change out the top. I don't think we'll see much of a change to the cab.I really wish they engineered in some of the characters with shoulder pylons to have the optionof the pylons tilting with the arms. He’s also probably going to be repainted into Pyro for the Amazon line, Wreckers themed. Which is inexorably based.Bulkhead is going to be Cyclonus/ Snowcat. It's not that hard to change out the back tires and change out the top. I don't think we'll see much of a change to the cab.
I think I'd rather see an Ironfist repaint. He's chunky enough enough to make the mold work. Currently I have a repainted Hound for an Ironfist. Unless the new Crankcase looks good, I can see repainting that into Ironfist. He’s also probably going to be repainted into Pyro for the Amazon line, Wreckers themed. Which is inexorably based.
Last Stand of the Wreckers is still to this day the greatest TF comic to come out of IDW.
That reminds me, we still need to see Hound repainted into Detritus, still very weird that they didn’t do that for Earthrise.I think I'd rather see an Ironfist repaint. Yeah, Detritus would have been an easy repaint because you can just use plastic. When I did mine I made sure to use some weathering powder on it to make it look a little better. That reminds me, we still need to see Hound repainted into Detritus, still very weird that they didn’t do that for Earthrise.
But I could see a Crankcase being repainted into Ironfist, personally I look at Slammer and I see Guzzle. There is a part specifically to mount that cannon on his back and he can do the infamous “ripped in half” scene.
I hope the new Impactor is this colour schemeYeah, Detritus would have been an easy repaint because you can just use plastic. When I did mine I made sure to use some weathering powder on it to make it look a little better.
With a new Impactor possibly coming out I can see them using that as Demolisher.
