Kinda wish they made Starscream's head that "almost black but not black" grey color other Starscream stuff that's based on the animation colors does.
Galvatron is infinitely better than rhinox. Only issues with galvatron are carried over into straxus like the back being hollow and gappy if you angle the shoulders and the egg head which is technically accurate to some shots. Reminds me of how the new tidal wave has the off model anime closeup based head instead of the head he generally has normally. That and maybe the fact he seems to have been intended to be slightly taller, but that'd put him out of scale with everything else.
My rage with Galvatron comes from us never getting a great Galvatron, they are all compromised. It’s so damn frustrating that my childhood favourite falls under the Megatron curse.
Megatron is likely within the next year as it's all but finished. Not sure about the others. Currently on 3.0 version and making improvements.
Whats wrong with galvatron? Hes been alright for me, worst I can say is that he lacks articulation and his feet/ cannon support could be better handled. He's still definitely not kingdom rhinox bad.
The ship guns, wasting plastic that should’ve gone into hands and the mold doesn’t feel like Galvatron. It’s got the “brute” proportions that work for a big bastard like Straxus, the back fin is too small and the back is hollow. Plus the Straxus version just feels better from a QC perspective, the retooling has made him heavier. Couldn’t fix the stupid treads hanging off the arms, those should’ve been 5mm connected parts like Xaaron’s treads.
I really wsh they didn't just turn megatronus into a Tarn knockoff. Really liked his original design from Dreamwave and I have no clue why they don't lean into that fallen paladin look for the guy that literally became "the fallen" in other designs since then. Liege maximo here would probably fit as a better megatronus design. Zeta prime just looks like the cybertron games' zeta prime which makes sense I guess, but some of these redesigns are really weirdly questionable or generic. Kind of the opposite problem to the aligned designs that only showed up in that one book.
It's interesting how he's just a monster hunter armor wearing optimus design wise. Guess the small figure it's based on is to excuse the price from the wing size.
See I’m all for it, it’s a good design as a pre-chaos fire Megatronus, better than the Aligned ROTF Megatron knockoff. It’s a good idea, the whole insignia as a mask, the only thing is Tarn as a character is tied to something I hate at a subatomic level so that design being freed from the gayest slop I’ve ever read is perfect. Same with that Onyx design being liberated from Shockwave’s unfortunate dip into furry culture.
High-five brother, me too. TF’s brush with Kirbyism is awesome and I’m all for the Thirteen getting figs. Even with deluxe class Micronus is gonna be a kick in the nuts. He better come with his bubble.
Oh yeah i trashed that junk lol. Never really thought the bulky design of the WFC mold was really out of character for him.
