oh shit he's shorter than the fallen, his helmets just bigger which makes him out of scale but still, really cool. The arm wafflings still weird, though. His gray could have been a little lighter or more blue though.

It's to invoke the gun mode without doing it. The figure looks more like a devastation megs to me, even the tank looks similar.he looks clean af.
glad the tank is not really showing, but it irks me for some reason when a transformer does not really show what it turns into.
Yes, and it's a nice surprise for a Bayformer carbot to have what looks like a fun and simple transformation. Is Widowmaker a new mold? She looks really cool.
Devastation was combiner wars megatron with g1 model proportions. The game in general was like an interesting mix of the g1 designs and the then current modernized designs they had reworked into the g1 artstyle. Motormaster's a really good example of that design philosophy they had going on for the game. It's to invoke the gun mode without doing it. The more I see of this thing the more I like it. 2024-5 seems to be shaping up on the one few small positives to be the "several really good looking megatrons" year. there have been enough renditions of this grey and/or silver guy for people to probably get tired of it but I'm not really finding any of them boring or tiresome.
i missed out on the original reflector because i was hesistant to buy 3 identical toys, but now i'm going all in.Takara posted a couple images of the new Dramatic Capture Series set.

John Warden mentioned that tv shows would also appear in Studio Series, the idea is that AotP/Its replacement is for stylized version of characters, whereas Studio Series is for screen/comic accurate figures.Comics are the purview of Studio Series now? I guess they'll do anything to keep that line from dying.
Studio Series are some of my favourite figures because of that extra detail, but this is purely an exercise in redundancy. Studio Series should have died after SS86 wrapped up in 2021/2022, and the detail and accuracy should have become a regular part of Generations. It's not like Generations is aimed at kids moreso than Studio Series.John Warden mentioned that tv shows would also appear in Studio Series, the idea is that AotP/Its replacement is for stylized version of characters, whereas Studio Series is for screen/comic accurate figures.
He should have been the titan, not optimus. Going by the box art statues he's the g2 design which makes him not being a titan even more absurd. I mean I'll be able to afford him but he's not gonna be in scale lmao.TRA GEN PRIME LDR LIEGE MAXIMO
^ (I really hope this is based off of the G2 comic design.)
They should have throught twice about that before making age of the primes entirely about making figures of the primes. We've got a pretty much 1 to 1 Dreamwave fallen and a greebled up g1 gladiator prima witht he IDW star saber for some reason.John Warden mentioned that tv shows would also appear in Studio Series, the idea is that AotP/Its replacement is for stylized version of characters, whereas Studio Series is for screen/comic accurate figures.
See, that's not exactly the same. The movie lines came out at the time of the movie. There was occasional weird overlap between the movie lines and chug, but it was either making a chug or unicron trilogy guy styled like the movie as a repaint or the other way around. This current thing? They spent the last several years making updated or series accurate attempt things in generations and changed the movie toys to studio series, but then instead of making the toys for the movies they started jamming everything into gimmick lines and bizarre shit that's like dollar store quality sold at the same price as everything else because of fucking course. Stuff like studio series starscream and galvatron are literally just repaints and not altered in any way to be more screen accurate beyond mild color differences.this is how it functioned for a while, the movie line would be screen accurate, and Classics/Henkai/Universe/Generations would be modernized versions of G1 characters.
These are just the missing listings for 2026, we're also getting: Deluxe Quintus Prime, Voyager Amalgamous Prime, and Voyager Nexus Prime next year.Jeez only one, maybe two more Primes next year? That's barely half of the entire roster for two years. Since these are usually three year chunks for each "trilogy", are they going to drop the rest of them through 2027?
It's weird because they framed this year as THE YEAR for primes. And now it's time gated tot he next 2 years, sespite us having visuals of the designs. This isn't like earthrise where they's hide incredibly cryptic clues about future releases or have an easter egg like a tiny kingdom galvatron barreling through space on some boxes, we have like full reference for some of these guys, the figures are visible and ready going by the leaked copies of 86 megatron floating around the aether, these are clearly being stocked somewhere, what's the fucking hold up?Jeez only one, maybe two more Primes next year?
