The "everything essential is locked behind a limited release upmarked exclusive" cancer trend continues.
I think what's throwing shit off is in the anime colors that this is upposed to evoke he's just greyscale and teal save for his eyes. I wouldn't doubt this was originally gonna be a toy colors powerlinx prime at some point since every non-galvatron powerlinx has been a timed online or convention exclusive (and starscream didn't even come with swindle because they removed any possible minicon functionality from him for some deranged reason and to add insult to injury it was a one and done deal with the rest of the stock apparently going to chinese resellers who want triple the price)

I've found customs looking up nemesis prime armada that look pretty much liek what I expected this exclusive to look like., maybe they're savign it for a non-battle damaged one or something.

Speaking of china sellers I hope this news gets them re-stocking those armada prime smokestack kits since my used one's missing his. (and his trailer but we covered that already pages ago)

A very reliable leaker has said that the Powerlinx version will come out at some point in the future, also it looks like the designers used the first image on TFWiki as a reference for the deco, again.

Not exactly the tfwiki one. There's a fan recolor image on google images that uses the red dots in the exact same place and a similar lighter blue than usual if you look up armada nemesis prime in their image search. It's the g2 menasor situation all over again i think.

Also I'm kinda bummed out the new headsculpt lacks the bulging broken exposed eye and the missing battle damage eye. He just looks like a beat up optimus missing an eye, not a fucked up creature like he turned into for a sec there when getting hit.

WHY THE FUCK ARE SNAP TOGETHER MODEL KITS CONSTANTLY FUCKING RISING IN PRICE I'M NOT GONNA FEEL COMFORTABLE PAINTING SOMETHIGN THAT'S MEANT TO BE FUCKING PAINTED AND PUT TOGETHER IF IT'S NEARLY 100 FUCKING DOLLARS.

If you want what looks like the stock photos, yeah. It's a kotobukiya kit, same companyt hat makes the megaman model kits that have been sold for increasingly prohibitively high prices in the US as well. I still have the unpainted first three megaman kits that's MSRP was $30 scalpers kept trying to sell for 60-80 when they were available on a shelf and they look fine, but they aren't quite as detailed as the stock photos and some parts aren't painted like the stock photos are. Image searches are beign ass right now and only giving gross jpeggy compressed versions of the unpainted kit but it looks the same minus lack of slight shading, panel lines, and matte colors.

I just remembered somewhere in the house I have THIS kotobukiya transformers kit from like seven years ago (doesn't feel like that long) and it wasn't as grotesquely upmarked to hell like the kotobukiya stuff is now. Was a fun kit and was actually pre-painted on the silver bits.

The "vintage style he-man with modern articulation" type of figures they've been putting out the last few years were scalper fodder for a bit and now are just overpriced at like 25 dollars or something but I really find these pop culture crossover things they keep doing somewhat interesting aesthetically due them clearlyt rying to mash other things into the MOTU vintage style where it's detailed sculpt but also not TOO detailed as to look modern. Please note this is nto accounting for the modern kid focused toys that are overpriced and end up at ollies which are modern sculpting but with paint and articulation simplified to a gross degree somehow more intense than when stuff like he-man was new and was doing similar stuff but less extreme.

Might have come out jumbled, out of it with a headache today.

Also wish skeletor had height boosting boots for the megatron thing, the legs feel piddly even for a vintage he man style figure here.

More bits and bobs for new characters in that line like with the TMNT stuff. I hope to see an Arcee Teela and an Evil Lyn that's Nightbird or Flamewar. Tri-Klops Soundwave or Shockwave would be nice too. Blackarachnia would sell extremely well too for Evil Lyn

I'm excited for a lot of these. Wasn't expecting a new Big Convoy, although I wish they covered up his extremely visible chest. Was hoping we'd get to see more of Onslaught too.

So what would be to you fellow kiwis ideal transformers show? What would be ideal roster or protagonists and villains alongside story

For me i'm thinking g1 mixed with elements of animated. They fight in the arc, crash on earth, deceptions wake up first and get vehicles near mili base while autobots scan civilian sector vehicles. Keep spike and his dad but as fire fighters so optimus becomes a fire truck and maybe in first episode he saves them while fighting deceptions in city and become city's protectors.
For characters with autobots i'd put rachet, prime, bee g1 prowl and hound. Maybe scattershot as neurotic inventor while wheeljack and rest are on cybertron.

For deceptions we have megatron,
soundwave,starscream,seekers,constructicons blackout and barricade as prowl's evil counterpart. Maybe but maybe also knockout as their own medic but whatever.

Also i love gun megatron most despite
making least sense so i'd make a decepticon that can turn into a gun just because.

a mix of bayverse, aligned and one. Cybertron became decepticon HQ, autobots became war refugees and take refuge on earth however human goverment try to kill them but through negotiation the autobots became part of an international mercenary group.

autobots are as follow: optimus prime, bumble bee,arcee,mirage, windblade,sideswipe,ratchet,bulkhead,wheeljack,dinobot

decepticons:Megatron,soundwave,starscream,shockwave,seekers,stunticons,constructicons,insecticons.

Always interesting to see what they try to hide the tailfins due to them just magically disappearing on the animation design.

I'd be happy with a seeker coming out in those prototype colours. Maybe dye the cockpit though, but I could do that myself. Nice seeing some light piping on it. Comes out nice in the clear plastic.

Nice proportions, He looks concerningly small and hollow and lacking in a ball jointed neck like the stunticons. (Seriously look at the hand holes in comparison to the hands and the fact the upper legs are just those exposed mall mushroom pegs). Also looks to be continuing the trend of "deluxe at voyager price point". This is made even more unfortunate by the fact of how big ss86 megatron is so now he's just completely out of scale with everything in this supposed definitive series due to cost cutting shit like this.
