Apologies in advance if known or posted before. I am unfortunately too old and my gaming days consisted of placing quarters endlessly in arcade machines. So, I am not really integrated into today's gaming scene but from my time here have read about GG, transgenders etc.

I don't see why there's a tranny character in a medieval setting but Dungeons & Dragons is fantasy so I truly don't give a shit. It's Bioware though so what the fuck did you expect?

They get triggered when you make fun of them. They're very important and it's a very bad thing to be flippant about their heroic crusade to save anime tits and monitor their media for purity against the tranny menace.

Gamergate behavior:

Complain about something.
If the company ignores them, add the company to their blacklist, threaten to stop buying their products, and whine all day about it.
If the company actually listens to their complaints, complain about that too, because listening to their complaints is censorship/pandering/letting politics influence their decisions.

This sort of gender politics doesn't belong in a D&D based setting.

Bare in mind this is the same franchise that had a cursed item that swapped your gender as a joke. And even had a lot of unique dialogue if you put it on your evil snarky mage character Edwin.

This is a setting where changing a character's sex is a spell a character can learn relatively easily. It's not a setting where this sort of thing matters. The characters in a D&D setting are significantly more concerned with the possibility of a group of gnolls cutting everyones heads off than if a guy wants to call himself a woman.

It's out of place, and completely unnecessary. And comes across like trying to push a political agenda. And I greatly disagree with how they approached the subject in this game. When a character in a video game's gender identity is their primary character trait you know you've fucked up as a writer.

Actually it's done by some group called Beamdog but then again, they have some ex-Bioware employees. Even then there is, as @Watcher mentioned, ways one would change gender in D&D.

As far as killing goes, the murder not only gave the player 2000 xp, but there was also no reputation hit. One would wonder if anyone else noticed that. Then again, too many people are focused in getting upset over a fictional character.

Yeah, after actually reading reviews it's clear that this entire game is a pile of shit and the token tranny is just a cherry on top. It's impossible to tell that if you read clickbait headlines though, pretty brilliant marketing strategy tbh

The NPC in question tella you within 4 sentences of meeting her and she stapled her name together from different cultures and places. That isn't a trans person-that's a tumblr fuckwit, Also that Minsc line is maximum cringe.
Liana K talked about it if anyone's interested on hearing why it's retarded from someone who isnt a GG mouthbreather.
