From the title, I had my hopes up this was a project to replace youtube-dl

Also strange how no Russian Hacker, peepee tape related channels are under "conspiracy"
 
Since when is Bizonacci a white identitarian channel? He just does crypto shitposts.
I'm not quite sure how they picked what channels to feature. There're some larger channels that cover politics that are missing, and channels that don't really focus on politics are included.
Also, some channels are tagged both "partisan right" and centrist at the same time.

Maybe they have certain words associated with a political leaning? Like, Im pretty sure the channels Sounds of 40K and 40K Theories are tagged as right and anti-sjw is exclusively because they focus on Warhammer 40k. Im curious if this is because some cuck manualy went in and designated 40k as right-wing because omg fascism!!! or if their algorithm was just like WAR = RIGHT WING.
 
What's the purpose of this? Shame tactics and cancel culture? Why the hell do we need to know what type of amerifag political label a channel is? Political channels don't need that imo, when you can clearly see their opinions on their thumbnails, titles and video presentation. This just for lazy retards to have an easy strawman argument about "how [insert non-political channel] is [insert political label] so they suck!"

Their algorithm checks what other channels commenters are subscribed to. There's probably a lot of people subscribing to right-wing channels who also subscribe to 40k channels, therefore it gets classified as right-wing.

Only 800 channels are classified manually, the rest by the algorithm described in this paper:

Channels represented on Transparency.tube must have over 10K subscribers and target english speaking countries. They were found as follows:

  • ~800 channels were manually tagged by three or more reviewers as part of prior work completed by Mark Ledwich and Anna Zaitsev to study YouTube’s recommendation algorithm. The tags defined in this study were chosen to account for the significant cultural discussions that accompany traditional political discussions on the platform. This work, along with further descriptions of the tags, can be found here.
  • ~7,300 channels were discovered and tagged using a machine learning approach developed by Sam Clark that leverages subscription information of commenters. This involved identifying political channels from a set of 12.6M total channels. This work is documented here and the accuracy of the method compares favorably to the manual review of channels.

OK, that's definitely manual. The best gamers haven't been relevant in YEARS. They made their last video in 2015 and their last stream in 2017 (Which was just dingdong rockcock and oney)
I know rockcock still occasionally does stuff (and dingdong does other stuff too even if his style of humour is definately not my thing) but both have directly stated that the best gamers is over.

Also, how the fuck is a channel that solely makes fun of indie games "white identitarian"???
