Troons and wokeism and abortionists and acts of jewery are what turned me from a (sane, non euphoric) atheist into closer and closer to a Christian convert every single day that passes.
If so many of these clearly evil creatures are SO against Christianity then there has to be something going on over there. If they are so hellbent (never better said) in shutting down Christian values and discourse from the Western world then I want to understand what they seek to destroy so much, because it's probably the truth.

Seriously, though, back in the day, they used to do exorcisms and things (and I think they still do, in some parts of the world), and I always thought that that was just a holdover from more primeval times, where they didn't understand the concepts of mental illness and seizures and things like that, and they were trying their best to understand it through the limited knowledge they had as evil spirits and demons taking control of someone's body and making them say and do irrational, disturbing things...

...But now, a part of me's thinking, "And who's to say they were wrong?"

You can get exorcisms in the Episcopal Church, but it's a process... you need to see a priest, and then they need to determine that what's wrong with you is treatable by exorcism, (most people who think they need exorcisms really need a referral to a psychiatrist) and the priest can run that request up to the diocese, which is usually a pretty woke governing body, and then an exorcist can be assigned by the bishop and deployed to perform an exorcism on the possessed person.

It's a woke church, but uh, if this was my kid, I would head down to the cathedral and refuse to leave until they grant me the exorcism. That's too weird.

I’m sure there’s a similar process in the RCC, and I do know from personal experience that priests in the RCC don’t like the exorcism from what’s known as the Roman Rite to be used by laymen.

Believing the West is immune to culture-bound syndromes is its own kind of white supremacy... is what I want to tell these people.

Whether or not there are "real" demons, if you're from a culture that recognizes demons, you know how to act when you're possessed, and your family and religious leader know how to exorcise you, and everyone plays out their part--fully believing it's legit, with real emotions and feelings. Same way all those teen magazines and school assemblies used to tell kids how to vent stress by having an eating disorder, and the way that paradigm got jiggered a little so now they tell kids how to vent stress by being trans.

There are probably fewer village teenagers (by percentage) who get accidentally beaten to death during their exorcism psychodrama than trans kids who have their own lives ruined.

I am an atheist as well, but I think that because of that fact, it has led me to believe that since this is all we get in terms of life, we had better appreciate it while we can and these people are now permanently fucked once they have started the medical process of transitioning.

Whatever somebody's spiritual or religious beliefs, this also goes to show that mental illnesses can be just as catastrophic as physical ailments. It also does not help when you have an entire legal and social movement dedicated to perpetuating these quack treatments for "gender dysphoria" instead of proscribing proper mental health care to get at the underlying causes of people who identify as "trans". Nine times out of ten, it is something like depression, various anxiety or body-image disorders yet society would rather affirm and lead these people down the primrose path to surgical butchery rather than treat the issue itself.

Ridiculous ideas can arise in any culture from time to the, such as fletcherism, circumcision, phrenology, punishing left-handedness, casual lobotomies, etc. As dumb as they might seem in retrospect, they were hard ideas for people to abandon because it had become so entrenched at the institutional level. Now, being "trans" and undergoing dangerous and futile treatments for it is the latest "trend" of social and medical quackery that is being pushed, and like clockwork, it is being pushed as an ad hock treatment for many unrelated mental illnesses and personality disorders by otherwise well-meaning people who are merely following what the "experts" tell them, just like what has happened with other harmful movements in the past.

They hate anyone who tells them there is a better way to live, other than whatever materialistic ideology/philosophy they previously lived by. Or tells them that degeneracy isn't conducive to happiness.

Note how these people angrily accuse their opponents of being "fundamentalists" or something similar, even when the person they're talking to is either a moderate christian or even an atheist just like them.

Yes. I have many times made the observation that the sole motivation behind the constant push to destroy the West is hatred of its foundation i.e. Christianity. You do not need to be religious to see that this is the one thing all of the antiWestern agitators have in common.
It is literally anti-Christian sentiment that motivates all of this.

That is explicit demonic manifestation. Demons seek to disrupt the order of creation and separate humans from God through temptation, deception, and influence over the imagination and passions. They cannot force the human will, but they can create circumstances or introduce thoughts that make sin more appealing.
The signs of demonic manifestation here include:

• Rejection of truth (one's God-given nature).
• Self-destruction through alienation and despair.
• Glorification of falsehood (parasitism masquerading as happiness).

This isn't a political war or even a cultural war, it's spiritual. Always has been.
