That's Margaret Hamilton, and she was not a troon. She is standing next to a pile of code that was the original Apollo Guidance Computer, which she was one of the lead software engineers on and she also invented the name if not the concept of "software engineering" as a thing.

Needless to say they would not have put a profoundly mentally ill man in such a situation.

Read article; did not watch video. Guessing they rhymed "tranny" with "granny," in the context of the Big Bad Wolf. Unfortunate; a surprise/shock rhyme is a time-honored technique for comedy songwriting.

I'm not super upset that they edited it, just annoyed at the hyperbole and competitive fragility in the complainers.

In the 1990s Sondheim edited his 1970 musical (set in the early 1960s), Company, most notably replacing a couplet that had the word "fag" as the rhyme. I get that; at the time it was a kick of slang, but as slang evolved and the word became politically charged, it ultimately distracted from the rest of the work and would have been a silly hill to die on.

And it just went from (girlfriend complaining about boyfriend refusing to commit):

I could understand a person / If it's not a person's bag
I could understand a person / If a person was a fag

to

I could understand a person / If he said to go away
I could understand a person / If he happened to be gay

which just lets you get on with appreciating the always-better lyrics:

When a person's personality is personable /He shouldn't oughta sit like a lump
It's harder than a matador coercin' a bull / To try to get you off of your rump
