Yea I made up that he wore something stupid he looked embarrassing in. Chris would never do that.

Not saying that you're lying about Chris doing weird stuff, I was just saying that it'd be cool if you provided said picture. Assuming you're being True and Honest.

She showed up after he texted. Put the pieces together. Or call bullshit on it, I really don't care.

Yeah, I'm skeptical about CWC having a direct connection to any relevant reporter and keeping his mouth shut about it. He'd have at least dropped a "subtle" hint.

I just beat the noonwraith.

Nice, keep us posted.

"How did the reporter know your guy was there for Chris?" - wanna bother responding to this too?

Also, this. Unless your guy was wearing a Sonichu medallion, or Chris was able to pick him out from all of the regular joes that show up at a courthouse and tip his super secret reporter friend off about who he was and what he looked like then this just doesn't add up.

Go back to the original post, I added the pic.

And yea there was a reporter there. I have no reason to lie about this. What do I have to gain if I made this up and got you to believe it? It was obvious she wanted to write a cyberbullying article.

So the dude just walked out right after Chris's hearing, instead of sitting through a couple more cases and leisurely making their way out? Dude deserved to get caught, damn.

Yeah, and that's the weird part. You have absolutely nothing to gain by lying, but your story doesn't make sense. CWC befriending a reporter either means someone's SUPER desperate for a story and is digging at the bottom of the barrel, or that he's way smarter than anybody ever gave him credit for. Either way, nothing really adds up. The fact that he's not gloating about it openly is more suspicious. This story plays more like a movie and less like real life.

I think your credibility problem lies with the fact you keep assuming Christian came up with the idea to have a reporter there. When it was more likely Barb's Idea or even maybe the public defender's idea to put him in touch with a reporter. She seemed to be there to confront trolls, not to get to the bottom of the Blarms controversy. I have to imagine the PD doesn't want spectators hanging around either, and got in touch with a reporter for Chris.

the public defender's idea

Probably not, a lawyer would aim to keep their client under the radar, get Chris a psych evaluation and paint him to not be understanding as to how his actions effect other people. He wouldn't see the need to involve the media, unless CWC's case is so far gone that he has to resort to making it a media circus.

When it was more likely Barb's Idea

This is actually somewhat believable, fits with the "do things without thinking of the consequences" style that they live their lives in, I just can't imagine Barb being able to convince the mainstream media that Chris is a perfectly innocent angel that's a victim of 99% of the world hating him for no reason. A quick google search would dissuade anyone from associating with him. Albeit, I'm probably reaching a bit far at this point and this is all pure, wild speculation. I just don't trust anyone enough to take such a wild story at face value without any evidence.

I have to imagine the PD doesn't want spectators hanging around either

Not in a million years would I think that the DA/sheriff/PD knows the full extent of CWC, and I think they'd rather one dude show up to legally watch a court proceeding than any kind of negative media shitstorm.

I don't see that it is a forgone conclusion that Chris texted and summoned the reporter. It seems like you are drawing that conclusion based on the fact that she showed up after he was texting. That certainly makes your hypothesis valid.

But what if the reporter found out about Chris by noticing the internet buzz after the arrest. Or she has some Christorian friend who suggested she look into the story. Maybe she had figured out when Chris hearing would be better than you did so she only showed up for it. Or had been hanging out outside somewhere and you missed her. Meanwhile Chris pulled out his phone to text Barb or a friend about the trolls. Or play a game of Snakes 2 on his old flip phone.

Is there anything that happened that would reject an alternative explanation like mine?

I saw 'tribulations' in this thread title and I thought we were going to get more lesbian history lessons.
Thank you for your court reporting and attending all the hearings for us, you did a great job!

I agree a nerdy guy may be a bit out of place at a court house when mostly they're seeing repeat offenders or potheads. That's just my opinion. And has anyone considered the possibility Chris has seen this guy before around town or somewhere? Chris is super paranoid. Maybe he just recognized the guy.

Yeah, this recent trial story is sketchy as hell. And I haven't heard anything persuasive about its veracity in this thread.

There's not really much reason to believe Barb got a reporter to attend Chris' court date, aside from it being a slimy move, as she's wont to do.

That would be my suspicion as well, I highly doubt Chris was in direct contact with the reporter. It is more plausible she found out through other avenues as you said and is probably more interested in writing a cyberbullying article. I doubt she would know much more about him beyond the surface. Heck she may have even stumbled upon his story on facebook.

I may be wasting my time, but reporter lady if you are here, the reason people follow Chris and other lolcows is for the same reason normal people follow celebrities. There are some people who are rather interesting. It is hard to describe or put into words. But the point is if people didn't find celebrities interesting then the National Enquirer, TMZ, The Globe, and all those gossip rags and the paparazzi would not have a job. I'm not saying this is right or wrong or even ethical but just the way things are.

You are right. There is no way to know for sure. I only think Chris texted her, because I saw him look all concerned when texting. I know what texting looks like on a flip phone, this wasn't snake. He had to look at the phone to see which letter he wanted then hit the same button 1-3 times over and again for about a minute. I'm 99% sure he was texting. Most people don't bother bringing their phones in at all cuz of the camera rule. You really think Christian got a special approved phone just to play snake? After he did that he put the phone away and then 10-15 minutes later she showed up and never talked to Chris. That's personally what I think is the most likely explanation. Of course it could be anything. She wasn't at the last hearing and @Rammspieler never mentioned seeing her either. So she's new here. I didn't know I was gonna get so challenged here. I only mentioned it to warn the next set of guys who go down so they don't get surprised when she pops out.

Let's just pretend I'm smart enough to intentionally have put that innuendo in there.

This. Everything sounds scripted, somewhat fake. The fact that you opened up the thread with "Chris had us figured out and phoned in a reporter to harass us" doesn't really help, either.
