The federal government’s central computer programming office was one of the most defiantly left-wing units in all of government, but an Elon Musk lieutenant has taken the reins, and the unit — which engaged in far-left self-indulgence throughout the first Trump administration — is coming to heel.

Staff members have deleted code such as an “inclusion bot” that monitored employees’ messages to chide them for using “racist” terms like “peanut gallery,” a Daily Wire review of code changes showed. Also deleted was a “psychological safety” page warning web developers of the many ways they could be “triggered” while working their high-paid, white-collar jobs.

The General Services Administration’s (GSA) Technology Transformation Service (TTS), and its major component 18F, were once so hijacked by left-wing extremism that they risked the security of a million Americans by falsifying information in the belief that a legally-required security feature was racist, according to a government audit.

TTS/18F is a sister group of the U.S. Digital Service, a White House office that was repurposed as Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency. On January 24, GSA announced that Thomas Shedd, previously an engineer for Musk’s Tesla, was taking over TTS. Musk is expected to turn his personal focus to GSA, which handles government-wide functions such as real estate, soon.

18F’s logo on X still dedicates more space to the transgender flag than to its own name. But it tracks its code publicly on Github, and logs show the swift deletion of an improbable portion of its code dedicated not to its actual mission, but to flamboyant displays of internal virtue-signaling.

It turned off its “inclusion bot,” which spied on workers’ Slack messages to chide them for using phrases like “drop-dead date” (lecture: “can trigger”), “ninja” (“We want to show respect towards cultural traditions”), “lame” (“arose as a derogatory reference to people with disabilities”), “like crack” (“discriminatory policies that target Black people”), “no problemo” (“arose as a way of devaluing Spanish in favor of an ‘English-only’ United States”), and “guys” (“can make people who do not identify as ‘guys’ feel excluded”).

It deleted a lengthy section of its employee handbook describing how when talking at a meeting, speakers should first describe their appearance so any blind listeners would know if there was sufficient racial diversity.

The document included examples like, “Greetings. I’m Madison, my pronouns are she/they and I’m a middle-aged white woman with an androgynous appearance” and “I’m a brown-skinned black woman with medium length kinky hair.”

(In the screenshots, red and subtraction signs signal that the code has been deleted.)

It removed a page that said employees should only participate in events where “there are no all white or all male panels,” where “there is a code of conduct with an incident response plan,” and where “participants have a place to share their pronouns.”

It got rid of a rule that emojis must be “in line with our values of diversity, equity, and inclusion,” and “consent” provided if they depicted a person.

It changed linked text to obscure (but did not remove) a page showing how “diversity” actually meant racially segregated workgroups called “affinity groups.”.

While Trump has ordered federal employees to stop working from home, 18F has taken the opposite to an extreme, saying that even when most people were working in an office together, they should not sit in the same room for a meeting, because it might make remote employees feel othered for joining by webcam.

It changed its policy of hiring based on “lived experiences” to one based on “Merit Principles.” Equitable hiring meant, in practice, queers colonizing the government agency at a statistically unlikely rate. 18F’s code on GitHub lists “members” of the organization, including:

Cordelia Yu/GoFundMe

Cordelia Yu, who LinkedIn says is “the Director of Experience Design for the Office of Regulatory and Oversight Systems in the Technology Transformation Services/GSA and an independent researcher at the intersection of social justice, public policy, and democratic theory. They help organizations build inclusive teams to navigate gnarly institutional drama.” Colleagues funded his 2022 “gender-affirming surgery.” Yu’s blog used the “the 18F project reflection template” to state: “Goals for the last three months: Turn a penis into a p****.”

Aviva Oskow (she/they), “Brooklyn-based, multidisciplinary designer with a passion for social activism … She is a Principal Product Designer at 18F” who studied “anti-racist equity design.”

Davida Marion (she/they), a TTS engineer interested in “organizations that value and prioritize their employee experience, especially if they’re providing a positive footprint in the world.”

Anne Petersen (they/them), is a graphic designer who wrote in 2023: “Hi: my name is Anne and my pronouns are they/them. My name or appearance should not lead to a presumption of gender. Your assumption may harm me whether or not you intend it to.” She complained about the lack of bathrooms for nonbinary people.

Mel Choyce-Dwan (she/they), 18F product designer and speaker at “Lesbians who tech (queer|inclusive|badass).”

The Daily Wire previously obtained records showing that after Trump won election in 2016, TTS hosted “the most partisan meeting [one had] ever attended in government.” Employees said Trump’s victory made them fear for their “safety,” and their morals compelled them to “speak[] truth to power.”

Employees said they should be able to keep getting paid while refusing to implement policies they didn’t personally agree with. Then-TTS Director Dave Zvenyach initially told them that was inappropriate, but after employees browbeat him for being white, he recanted and said his initial guidance must have sounded “totally ridiculous.”

Employee Yoz Grahame (“he/him”) wrote, “It falls to all of us in the organisation, but most of all to those of us who feel safer than others, to uphold our diversity practices, continually improve them, and spread them throughout government.” Years of scandal ensued.

Only President Trump’s second term in office has caused them to surrender.

Christ almighty, how horrifying to think these were some of the creatures oppressing the shit out of you and having a demonic cackle about it under the Biden regime. Truly queers of any and all races are somehow an even lower form of being than jeets, they took the jeets' combination of kike-tier nepotism with a total lack of competence or discipline and made it extra gay.

Musk should be kept away from public institutions but holy shit is that conduct mental and itself openly racist.
Musk has the experience, money, and autistic obsession needed to enact these changes on the ground.

He cannot be intimidated by activists or government agents because he has Trumps protection.

The rot is so deep and festered for so long nothing short of a swift and all-encompassing takeover will allow any sort of fix. These miserable activists hate American and, imo, are a serious threat if they have any control in these bureaucracies.

Edit: Nearly ALL OF GOVERNMENT is “unelected private citizens.” Not a single person in the GSA or TTA was elected. Unlike Musk, they also have unions that protect them from being accountable to anyone despite their obvious hostility.

Trump can tell Musk to fuck off at any time. I sincerely wish we didn’t need ultra wealthy autists like Musk at all and I think we should be extremely wary. But I don’t know how else this can be dealt with. I thought I was cynical, but everyday I’m more astonished at how far and how fast the leftists have infiltrated everything in government.

he is an unelected private citizen with no accountability for the politics stuff and is a billionaire who really wants to make more money and doesn't have the average American's wants or needs on his brain. if he uses this leverage to do some things I agree with, like this, I will give him credit, but it doesn't change that in the long run he's going to use this for his gain and not Americas and that he should not have such power.

The idea that private citizens should be "kept away from public institutions" that they are forced to pay and obey is one of the more bizarre takes I've seen. I guess it shows the mentality that got us into this mess in the first place. His accountability is to the President. The President who was just elected promising to insert people like Musk into "public institutions" to remove the rot and save us all from them. There was no trickery or surprise. Trump literally ran saying "elect me, and I'll turn Musk loose on the federal government." He won in a landslide. Trying to pretend he is some shadow billionaire that no one saw coming is just silly. Trump shouted to the mountains that this is exactly what would happen and won. In fact he won because he did exactly that. Anyone against that is against the stated electoral will of the people. You know, that whole democracy thing...

That isn't what I said though, I said that the issue was that he has no accountability to said electorate due to being unelected and he never ran these specific policies and his future ones past the public. I also doubt if you surveyed Trump voters on the day they would have told you a big driving force for them was getting Musk the head of several institutions.

That is exactly what you said.
No like I said, the whole quote directly says no political accountability directly after. Maybe with all those dollars, daddy Musk can buy you some spectacles.

Failure to do so the first time around proved to be a major mistake. The uk is another example of how established institutions can and will undermine any elected authority they dislike.

Next do student loans, if they smart we should encourage the only help you get on them is based on family size and having children. All those 40 years olds hipsters would be cut off from help and it would encourage families that not importing low cost slaves. The old urban hipsters will have to cut into the beeracade budget on Saturday nights.

Tech companies allowed - and encouraged in some cases - employees to join the US Digital Service, sometimes on loan but many moved. The rot came from Big Tech and its leftist ways, and the rot must be removed from Big Tech.

"The “peanut gallery” was once used to refer to people — mostly Black people — who were sitting in the cheap seats in vaudeville theaters and would throw peanuts on stage if they didn't like a performance rather than throwing tomatoes. (Yes, throwing foodstuff on stage was once a thing."

(Basically it was a term that meant poorer patrons and the people against its use, as often happens, are actually the ones being racist by suggesting poor is a synonym for black).
