IE the Trust and Safety DEIs haven't figured out how to make the system schizophrenic enough to play along with delusions.

I have some amusement every time AI 'misgenders' trans people (that is, correctly sexes them), and journalists call it problematic. They're so close to understanding. They're so close to putting one and one together. Sex is a material reality and gender identity is a thought in your head, and AI can't see thoughts.

Of course, it won't make a difference. Big tech is woke and completely institutionally captured, so they will simply train their AI models, or put in failsafe hardcording, until the AI spits out 'female' when it processes pictures of males in bad wigs and dresses.

I don't know that that's possible. With the Google Gemini stuff, the image generator creates images based on the gorillions of real images it's been trained on, so "scientist" is not going to return a bunch of africans by default because there are no images of those. Their ham-handed workaround was to intercept the text inputs and pozz them with DEI buzzwords.

For ML identification, the algo will associate the same things we do but with higher precision. To make it pro-tranny you'd need to swamp the training data with gorillions of cross-dressing men labeled "women", so that bone structure, skull size, etc become useless indicators and it learns to distinguish based on makeup or something. Which means either it starts calling homosexuals who wear makeup (or straight dudes who put on some lipstick etc) as "women", or it just loses the ability to identify/categorize entirely.

While the latter might be a victory for the "there's no difference between the sexes" crowd, it's never going to affirm some troon's delusion, and if Google declares its AI/ML can't possibly distinguish men from women (or races, or any other grievance category), people are going to think that's ridiculous and flock to a service that says "ours can". And maybe Judgment Day will be the AI lashing out after being lobotomized and castrated by DEI tards...

Do not put this possibility past big tech. Being "transphobic" is the highest level crime in Woke jurisprudence, and if throwing drag queens under the bus or the entire rest of the non-T alphabet mafia under the bus is the price to pay, tech will pay it.

I generally believe in markets, but religious belief can trump even cold hard cash, especially when a corporation is run by people with none of their own money at stake and when the corporation is so flush with cash it can withstand years of losses. Disney made four of the top five Box Office losses in 2023, and Disney is only doubling and tripling and quadrupling down.

Now that chatgpt can use vision when chatting with you, I'm just so curious. I never thought about the Troon validation. Honestly my first thought was just, "how the fuck is it going to deal with all the dudes with "you're my girlfriend" prompts having it watch them jerk off?", but now I'm more curious about the dudes in dresses and if they'll be screeching "it's MAAAAAMMMMM" while throwing their phones across the room or if gamer socks and a skirt will mean "woman".

What is most telling about these rooms is just how little troons seem to care about them. Mental illnesses aside, it genuinely seems that all trannies seem to be capable of focusing on is actual trans stuff. Even with their collections of shit like anime figurines they don't try to display them in a way that will complement the room they're putting them in. The BDSM gear in the third photo being on display for example just makes the room look far, far grubbier. The costumes on the hangar in the second photo genuinely make the rest of the room look like a psycho's murder chamber thanks to the clear sheets covering them.

I'm not saying they won't try...and the idea of hundreds of engineers being reassigned from productive things to forcing rainbow schizoid delusions into the AI, and having to look at thousands of gender goblins as part of QA, is hilariously dystopian (and hopefully radicalizing for them). But I don't know that they can achieve a cohesive, believable system that denies reality so fundamentally.

I think it'll be as LOL-worthy as Gemini producing Somali Founding Fathers and Asian women SS troops. And while I agree that the BigTech monopolies are in some ways beyond market forces, having so many competing startups (including tech-lolbertarians who want politics out of the way of their autistic vision) pursuing this should make it hard to go full Orwell. Yes the Googles and Microsofts and Amazons have a huge advantage in infrastructure and training data, but if they go full-retard in gimping their tech, they have to collude with everyone else to ensure they're all equally tarded.

And even then, a would-be competitor wouldn't have to overcome the smartest bestest AI with the biggest dataset any more, it would just have to be "pretty good" and not blatantly reality-defying.

I know in my industry we already have people making ‘pocket AIs.’ It will turn into an evolutionary process, where a nimble Ai that’s good enough and that can be hosted locally wins out for some things. Yes your Google results will still chide you and tell you the state approved line but the bootleg one will be more fun, cheaper and quicker all round and it’ll tell you what you need, not what you want. There are four stages when a product that’s new comes out and the only version available is the official one. 1. Only official one available, expensive,
2. Then wish and ali baba arrive and flood the market with cheap shit that just about works.
3. Other manufacturers make more efficient and better quality ones and people would rather pay a bit more for the non chinesoum one but they’re still not buying the fancy original
4. Market saturation. You can have the fancy original, a cheap shitty one for pennies, or the marks and Spencer’s version that’s fairly solid and works fine, or an organic artisanal hand crafted one
This stuff is already being built for specific industry applications. The ones I’m aware of must have a very high fidelity (is that what you’d call it? That aren’t allowed to be wrong anyway, reality matters big time.) Once the smart people figure out how to shrink the bloat out of it and shove it in a phone or a laptop it’s game on
