I wanted to start a thread for the show that scared the fuck out of me when I was a kid and one of my favorites of all time. Seriously, BOB still terrifies me in a way that's hard to describe.
Let us watch the greatest sequence David Lynch ever directed.

I actually really want to start watching the series since It kinda fits into my purview of genres (i.e. surreal horror/weirdness/mystery). Can you tell me whether I should space watching it out, or simply burn through all the episodes in a marathon?

Watch it all at once. It's too mind fucky to space out, unless you've got a really good memory.

I might be the bad guy here but I kinda didn't like Twin Peaks.

I mean I loved all the parts everyone mention about it. But a lot of Twin Peaks was a lot of exposition with characters about living in the small town, and all the intermittent gossip. To the point when it gets closer to the end and there are conversations where
Cooper talks about going into the Black Lodge
it annoys the crap out of me that they cut away from the plot to have several unrelated characters talking about the weather.

There was also the Annie character who reportedly was only put into the show because Kyle MacLachlan's significant other was jealous of the girl who played Audrey. Who suddenly becomes the center of Cooper's attention and
is the one he has to rescue from the Black Lodge
or did he?

Granted most of this is exclusive to the second season, and the first season was actually fairly brilliantly paced. And the second season had that great sideplot with Bobby Briggs and Leo's girlfriend. I just think it should have been designed from it's genesis as a single season.

Huge David Lynch fan. Of course I'm excited for season 3, given that Lynch might have more creative control to keep save it from the shitstorm that was the second half of season 2. Fire Walk With Me is my personal favorite embodiment the series as it is a truly masterful tour-de-force with all the best cinematic qualities, if very different from the televsion series. Oh yeah, and the best soundtrack for a television series EVER, but I'm sure you all know that.

His role in Mulholland Dr. cracks me up every time.

I'm so hype for this. Rewatched the original run and Fire Walk With Me shortly before the announcement for season 3 was made.

Yep, he has full creative control if what I've read is correct.

I only recently watched Fire Walk With Me. I know a lot of people don't like it, but I thought it was alright.

Didn't really answer any questions, though.

I'm on episode 21 right now in my journey of rewatching it.

Also Bob has been a source of nightmares for this week, his smile is absolutely chilling, i hope if Andrew W.K replaces him he can do that crazed grin.

Mind=blown. I LOVE Twin Peaks, I used to sneak into the living room to watch it when I was a kid. I guess I'm gonna have to netflix the series again.

Also, for those who like twin peaks, check out Picket Fences, a bit more episodic, and had a few preachy episodes, but very weird, Also has a young Don Cheadle, and the last season had Jack Black in a few episodes.

I am on episode 4 of the first season and i am enjoying it so far and it keeps me going on what the hell will happen next and how far the rabbit hole goes,I love it so far on how good it is although form what i heard form about season 2 im not very excited to watch it although i will give it a shot at least.

So far my all time favorite characters are Dale,Bobby and Leland and a few others i pick them for different reasons.

Oh and fuck Leo Johnson.

My boyfriend and I are watching the series for the first time. We're about a quarter through the second season. I miss the wackiness of the first season, but we're definitely in it till the end.

Awh man is it as weird as people say it is?Where I'm at it's getting pretty good I wonder what will happen with Dale trying to solve the murder.
