Popular streaming platform Twitch apologized after a wave of online outrage from transgender activists and their allies over their use of the term "womxn."

"While we originally wanted to use a word that acknowledges the shortcoming of gender-binary language, after hearing directly from you, including members of the LGBTQIA+ community on Twitch, we will be using the spelling 'women' moving forward," Twitch tweeted from their official account.

Transgender activists excoriated Twitch because the term is seen as transphobic because it excludes the possibility of biological men who identify as women.
"We want to assure you that we have, and will continue to, work with the LGBTQIA+ community. We're still learning. Our good intentions don't always equate to positive impact, but we're committed to growing from these experiences, doing better, and ensuring we're inclusive to all," Twitch added in a second tweet.
The account tweeted their original tweet that was offensive to the transgender community, but screenshots were circulated by those angry at the message.

"March is Womxn's History Month," the deleted tweet read. "Join us in celebrating and supporting all the Womxn creating their own worlds, building their communities, and leading the way on Twitch."
Transgender allies said the term was used by "TERFs," their acronym for "Trans Exclusionary Radical Feminists," to exclude transgender women.
"This needs to be said: 'Womxn' is a term made by terfs. Trans women are women. Folks is already gender neutral. Not everyone likes 'folx'. Respect peoples wishes. Latine (sic) people have stated many times they don't like the term 'Latinx'. Don't be performative," said one account.
"I'm trans and 'womxn' is only used by people who try to tell me I'm not a 'real woman.' If you truly want to be inclusive of me and not purposely trying to other me, then you'll stop doing this," said another critic.
"If you want to do a Women's History Month and wish for trans women to be included, please, just call us women. If your true intentions are to validate us, then don't other us," they added in a second tweet.
"Twitch, we won't forget that you used a harmful term created by transphobes in a tweet you made. Trans women are women, not womxn," responded another critic.
President Joe Biden has promised to side with the transgender lobby on issues relating to LGBT causes.

People are pretty disgusted with Twitch for the aggressive monetization, recently they were playing Antiunion ads during the preroll. I can't stand ole sixhead Lowco but she was pretty vocal about it so I gained some respect for her.

The dmca shit is another thing. And the deer thing promising to flex on everyone. I've had tranny things muscle people out of meatspace locations so my feelings about them go beyond shitposting here.
We still don't know why Dr Disrespect was canned. And so on, and so on.
And the fact there's a good part of the night you can't tell the difference between Twitch and Chaturbate. One girl literally just go from her stream on Twitch to Chaturbate with very little wardrobe change.
If I told people irl I watched Twitch I'm just saying I'm a coomer.

Close. It's awkward nerds being promised a crumb of m'lady's snatch if they'll be good boys and agree unquestioningly with every progressive cause du jour she jumps on the bandwagon of.

Autistic nerds who get rich overnight are still naive and idealistic, so they think that the reason women mysteriously started paying attention to them the day after they became millionaires was because they just got a lucky break and finally met a woman who loves them for who they are. So naturally they do what nerds always do when they finally get within touching distance of a woman: instantly lose all cellular cohesion and turn into a puttylike substance she can mold as she sees fit.

This kind of behavior attracts gold digging sociopaths who are never happy, and that kind of woman is nearly always heavily into idpol because it's a cult that promises happiness to those willing to follow doctrine. Thus, the nerd is now functionally an extra limb on a social justice harpy and behaves as one might expect such an apparatus to.

It occurs to me that setting this standard helps bigger companies (that have money to waste on bullshit like this) and hurts smaller ones (it's just like extra regulatory costs they probably can't afford). I'm sure that's at least part of it.

W*men should stop being such TERFs and learn to speak a more progressive language, they need to recognise that some femoids have penises and that in order to be progressive we must refer to vulva owners as menstruators. I don't really understand their complaints that it is dehumanizing to call them a birthing parent or pregnant people. I hope they learn to be more tolerant. Now go chest feed the child that came out of your fronthole.

My wife life partner fell pregnant last month. I'm just so happy I'm finally going to be a non-gestational parent :'(
