Twitch & Their Competitors / r/LivestreamFail / Live Streamer Community - Imitation of Hollywood

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
I've never really been one to watch livestreamers as I find most of them vain as hell, but would it be fair to include Jerma in the OP? Again, I don't watch any of these people by choice and am only aware they exist, but I thought he had interacted with a few of them at one point or another. He does have his own general discussion thread, so maybe just mention and redirect to there? The furthest extent of me seeing any of his livestream content was highlights on Youtube YEARS ago, so I have no idea what he is up to at the moment. Last I heard the troons started fanboying him hard and shitting up his chat.

Also, while I am on the topic of potential people to add to/omit from the OP, I don't think Vinesauce (mainly talking about Vinny and Joel) really fits the topic of the thread, but maybe there is something I am unaware of that could make them relevant. Vinesauce also has its own general discussion thread. I vaguely remember some sort of false sexual harassment accusation towards Vinny in the last year or two, but couldn't speak to any further details or drama.

I guess the question is: at what point do you consider streamers relevant enough to include in the OP? If they were involved enough in a clique or drama? Just some thoughts on how the direction of this thread could go.

Interesting you mentioned JiDion in this thread. I know of him through four separate instances.
Personally, I first heard of JiDion through his interaction with Pokimane and her chat near the beginning of 2022.
For the unaware, JiDion was streaming on Twitch and decided to send his viewers to Pokimane's chat, telling them to spam "L + RATIO".
This very clearly made her uncomfortable (...for some reason) and it got to her so much that she ended her stream because of it.

When Pokimane fans began to attack him for what he had done, he had this to say in response;

(sorry for the KineMaster watermark and censoring, most footage from this event has been wiped)

Later on in the same stream, he played a clip of her saying the dreaded N word (nigga) and proceeded to joke about it for the rest of the stream.

The whole incident ended up getting JiDion permanently banned from Twitch, with no chance of ever appealing.

Twitch's decision eventually pushed him to settle things with Pokimane by meeting her IRL and making a video about it, likely to show his viewers that he didn't want them to bully her any longer.

I'm sure a more detailed post could likely be made about this, but due to most of the footage from the event itself being hard to find or stuck in long commentary videos, I'm simply not up to the challenge.

Streamers included in the OP are the ones who very often participate in the drama. For this reason, Jerma was not included in the OP. The same goes for the Vinesauece

It's not about relevancy it's about how often they stir up shit

As someone who likes cute animal/conservation videos on Youtube, I've stumbled across this Maya chick's videos before. I couldn't work out why they had so many views - she has no charisma and spends so long waving her tits at the camera and generally thotting about that you don't learn anything about the animals. There's a hundred other "thot with cute animals" channels that don't get millions of views, and many of them know much more about conservation and are far more interesting people.

Now I know she's a Twitch streamer that makes way more sense now.

Ok i’m just gonna say it, just get rid of that “YouTube live” in the title. Absolutely ZERO people care about anything that goes on in that shithole, as there is literally nothing interesting.

Kick streamers with 2 viewers nobody cares about are also probably IP2 people so they can be discussed in the IP2 thread. However, big Kick streamers like Adin Ross can be discussed here.

The title should just be “Big streamers” tbh. They all know eachother and are all connected, despite the platform.

I believe that Live Streamer Community works better because we don't just discuss big streamers here there are obviously some happening that are worth talking about in the small streamer circle

I actually still think Kick could be in the thread title, and that the OP could include more info on the platform, its backing from gambling sites (that have plenty of drama in their own right), as well as its bigger users, like Trainwrecks, BruceDropEmOff, Qorantos, Destiny, etc. Adin Ross especially has caused a lot of drama just related to Kick, like showing porn on stream, using a Kick-affiliated Twitter account to tell someone to kill themselves, saying if someone (forget who) got a Rumble contract instead of a Kick contract he'd leave the platform, and more. Doesn't xQc also have a contract with them, too?

Kick has this reputation for being a place for streamers who have been shown the door everywhere else, because their moderation is almost non-existent and it's really difficult to get banned. Cyrax streamed there for a bit and survived for quite some time, despite his a-logs constantly reporting his streams due to his barrage of violent threats, racial slurs and whipping his dick out. I say keep it in the title and keep it in the thread, because there's bound to be some fascinating dregs at the bottom of the barrel.

Average Adin Ross Kick stream

You can keep Kick yeah, but I just think this thread sound focus on general big streamer discussion.

Sorry I don’t want some random retard doing some gay IP2 shit to be posted unless it relates to big streamers and their circle

Matthew Rinaudo aka Mizkif is an American comedy Twitch streamer. He live streams on Twitch, averaging 5-7 hours and formerly averaging around 30,000 viewers, where he mostly provides commentary over topical internet culture and drama.
so for mizkif i am not sure if this matters or not but the whole reason he is even known on twitch is because he was ice poseidons camera guy and was around for many of the rv trips.

some of the more obsessive ip2 fans still try to mess with him when possible to the point that he has security around on the rare occasions that he does an irl stream. most people who hate mizkif usually list his involvement with ice poseidon as the main reason.
All that money and you couldn't hire a big tiddy anime waifu maid, French maid uniform and all that. Jesus wept.
funny you say that because there are rumors that he is currently dating the vtuber silvervale whos name you might recognize from the hogwarts legacy nonsense in which she referred to the people coming after her for playing the game as twitter freaks.

personally i dont know if its worth believing or not since the only real proof i have seen is that sodapoppin another member of OTK is dating another vtuber named veibae and those two have done streams with asmon and silver.

but it could just be your typical schizo vtuber fan rumors so yeah. it would be hilarious if it was true though seeing as degenerates of all kinds do tend to flock together.

Modern Twitch drama has become dominated by flash-in-the-pan spats between the top streamers that drown out the funny clips. You can't even search for a summary of the old stuff, all the results are summaries of whatever slap fight the big boys have had this month.
Thankfully, there's always the joy of introducing new people to the old stuff. Like the time the wheelchair-bound streamer ZilianOP, known for using his disability to raise donations, experienced a miracle.

Or, S tier sperg Arago having a meltdown and literally crying after being kicked off of Runescape streamer Bathtub Dwane's moderation team.

Longer version available on Odysee or Youtube.

The low hanging fruit is still available, too. Click on any stream and there's a 50% chance the streamer will be throwing a tantrum about how hard their job playing videogames all day is, usually brought on by someone being mean to them in their chat.

Nothing encpsulates this better than the whole RFLCT situation. TL;DR is Valkyrae (big female streamer) started a beauty brand called RFLCT targeted towards gamers, the products were kinda shitty, other big streamers give their takes, LSF clips them and sends them to the people they're criticizing, misunderstandings happen, streamers insert themselves into situation for views. A clusterfuck, really - commentary channel BlackWolfCompany did a one hour documentary on it, and it's extremely fucking autistic:

BWC also made a doc on the Fedmyster allegations, a story which Pokimane was heavily involved in (and which you could probably find posts about in our thread on her):

There was also the sitewide dogpile onto Artesian Builds, the PC building company that had previously sponsored many streamers. If I'm remembering correctly, that entire situation was just caused by people seeing clips from Artesian's own livestream, saying "not a good look, sweaty", and tweeting them out of existence, lmao:

Not surprising Valkyrae is a part of OfflineTV which is also a source of laughter besides the Fedmyster allegations. They played Among Us with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez who is basically a lolcow.

I'm glad this thread exists now in part because the only other place to talk about OTV would have been Pokimane's thread.

OP has been updated. Here are all the changes added:
  • Hasan, Pokimane, and Minx sections were deleted by the request of @Shig O'nella now at the start of the thread there's a note which clarifies that despite them not being mentioned they still play their own role in the drama with links to their own thread on Kiwifarms
  • Added a drama regarding leaked discord logs between Emiru and Mizkif in the Mizkif section
  • Added a mention of Asmongolds awful lifestyle with pictures of his room, screenshots of him admitting having to wipe the blood from his teeth against the wall, and a clip of his teeth rotting during a lifestream
  • The title was changed from just Twitch to Twitch & Their Competitors by the request of @Sprate Header
  • Added a mention of JiDions sleep prank which got him banned from WNBA and his interview with a known Pedophile EDP445
