Operation Armageddon July 24th-August 7th 2002
Armageddon was declared, the goal is to destroy the Armies of Lurelin, The Zora, and Kakariko. The Battle at Daisy's Castle rages on, Bob Senior and Razor Fist will be attacking, Spectacle Rock and 3-1 respectively blocking reinforcements to the Army of Kakariko in 3-2.
Major General Robert II (@Randall Fragg) is given command of this operation, under him he has the 4th, 11th, and 13th Armies, 4th Army is being commanded by Aktion (@AntiSchwuletteAktion) he has Colonel Bone (@BONE_Buddy) serving as his second. 4th Army is to engage the enemy and draw them North, while 11th and 13th crash into their Southern flank, the hope is to split up any armor they have so that it can be destroyed in detail. 11th Army is co-commanded by General Spurdo (@FunPosting101) and General Zaryiu (@Zaryiu2) commanding the hammer of this operation, the hope is to catch any Light and Medium tank brigades they have individually and prevent a real counter to the Armored push. 13th Army is lead by General Banq (@BanquetMegaBowl) and Colonel Black (@Blackhole ) are leading the conscripts of the newly reformed 13th Army as the softeners of the Southern flank, the plan is to make the 13th Army look like a troop occupier while the 4th is the main advance, hopefully tricking Keaton into positioninh the bulk of his men in the North while 11th Army sweeps house in the South for a few days.
We make the first move, 11th Army was the first to see action, having advanced on a motorized unit in the woods.
On the 27th 4th Army receives its first engagement in the hill, and 13th manages to push the Hylians to the pass, Banq plans on grinding them down before Zaryiu has the Medium Tanks run shot through the valley. Sprudo happens upon an counter attack planned to hit them in the rear, and plans to have the Medium Tanks reveal themselves by wiping out the Hylian Colum.
We enter the full swing of things, a lot of fighting in the hill for Anktion and Bone and to Robert's surprise, the Southern front has managed to hold the pass for the time being.
Fighting intensifies, attempts at getting around the pass have met with failure, we have managed to catch the Medium Tanks off guard, but 4th army has been hit with a counter attack that has Anktion on the ropes.
The counter attacked the Hylians had planned having failed, the remaining Medium Tank Colum and the surviving Anti-Tank infantry pull back to the bridge, while Banq and Zaryiu continue to try and past the ridge. Anktion to extend his diversion pulls back and reorganizes the men, Bob Senior and Daniel Harris are able to block reinforcements from arriving with the little detail of putting every available man into the other three fronts planning to defeat them with what we came with.
As Zaryiu, Banq, Spurdo, and Black continue to run into trouble regarding the pass, Aktion has Bone prepare the Army for another beating to buy time, taking out most the Light Tank Division is their goal before pulling out. In other news Chief of staff Luigi and ArchDuchess Daisy have been captured, though Saradena remains in Pasta hands.
It happens fast, Aktions battle plans go out the window when the Major leading the 37th Anti-Tank Regiment engages the Hylian Infantry after receiving orders meant for the 104th Infantry Regiment, after that the Motorized Infantry get creamed and the Army begins to route, 13th Army has been desolated to the point were Banq's calls for a pull back and hands over what little men he has to Black directly positions them follow 11th Army once they break through the pass. Spurdo wants to just send in the Medium Tanks and try to break through, while Zaryiu and Robert want to save their strength for the Hylian Medium Tanks.
By August 1st the medium tanks had entered the fray on both sides, as the Hylians had exhausted their light tank brigades, feeling the pressure to wrap things up North the Hylian commander continued the assault. Aktion attempted to organize a pull out before the army was completely destroyed, but the Hylians had their Cavalry to pursue.
Aktion and Bone are captured as their army melts away, Spurdo nearly buys the farm, but is determined to break through.
Victory is so close, Robert orders a total push, as Daniel and Robert Senior have been routed and are on the defensive. Destroying the Army of Kakariko would be a major boon to the war effort, perhaps even preventing capitulation.
So close, but the Hylians managed to cobble up enough Light Tanks to hold the next 48 hours, Colonel Black makes the call for a ceasefire on August 4th, he was brought to the camp of General Keaton, the commander of Kakariko

He lost his general to an accident
The following month was a time of change, worlds 8 and 3 where occupied as well as some additional counties to make the holding defensible, Mario and Peach fled to Mute City to avoid responsibility for the war, Robert Senior tried to hold the country together, but ended up dying of a stroke due to failing health and stress on the 26th, by September a new order had prevailed, the age of the Generalissimo was over. Now the Mushroom kingdoms where split asunder and now saw a number of would be masters.
These regions of controls were split over the course of a single week, following Robert Seniors death, Sarasaland's new monarch Bovine seized world 4 and struck out for independence, before the day was out Noah had seized the throne from Peach who was ruling in absentia, claiming the kingdom needs a strong king and a new order. The following day Daniel Harris makes his move and has his men seize the south including the Port of Del Plaza, with hopes of founding a republic. Rosalina the dauphin of the Mushroom Kingdom makes claim for the throne with the help of some traditional royalist, Robert II is left with a moderate region of control, how this will play out is anyone's guess. (If I can get them to ever actually do this set with me)
A look at the caudillo's
Princess Griselda, Zelda's second cousin and plant for the Peninsula, while she lacks the brains of her ruling cousin, she makes up for it with well placed fat, she has an approximate 1/7th of the Hylain army under her making the most powerful claiment for the region, Hyrule has entered another war with its neighbors over the intervention with the Pirate Republic and Archanea meaning she can not expect much in the way of support should conflict break out.
a minor noble given the throne by treaty Patrick IV first of the Bovine line rules in Sarasaland and figures he has a pretty good shot at taking the whole thing, he has the second largest army and served in the war making him a more competent threat than the Hylian eye catch.
Stuck in the Northwestern corner of the country, by all account things are actually looking pretty good for Robert, he has his men and officers, and the largest native Toadstool army. Mario and Peach have given Robert their support in the probably conflict.(MajorGen)Banq:03/30

Big promotions for Banq, Spurdo, Black, and Bone, Bob II remains in charge due to seniority.
Four Star General Daniel Harris was highest ranking official following the death of Robert Chipman, and he took it upon himself to play Brutus and restore the 1928 republic, his army is a little over half the size of Roberts, making him the second best prepared the Toadstool states, being based in the rural south will give him a lot of trouble, but he may will prevail.
Pretender Noah Antwiler holds the capital and has used the treasury to buy off most of the noble guards, as well as 7th army (Armored), with less professional troops than his rivals, Noah has gotten himself into a messy situation, having more powerful enemies on all sides.
Dauphin Rosalina Kosmosinsel is the cousin and heir apparent of Princess Peach, she has with her a lot of officers and not a lot of men, they siezed the third city of the Mushroom Kingdom and have the Marines hold the coastline, her faction is certainly the weakest
