Careercow Tyler McVicker / ValveNewsNetwork (VNN) / Tyler Jon McVicker - Autist with stalker tendencies larping as the Jason Schreier of Valve news

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
Tyler tweeted yesterday about expecting a sequel to New Vegas "in the latter half of this decade", plus some speculation on other games. This is following his rebranding announcement video where he talked about doing videos on New Vegas 2, GTA VI, etc.

Now every game website has written clickbait articles about "New Vegas 2 CONFIRMED??!!" because infamous Valve leaker Tyler McVicker said so on Twitter, and he's not happy with it.

This isn't him acting like lolcow tbf, it's the retarded games journalists looking for clicks. It's still kind of funny.
>Claims to have info on a sequel to an acclaimed game (one that is never-ever tier and even if it does happen it won't live up to the name)
>News sites make articles about how he has a lot of info on the game
>Nooo that's not what I meant they're going mad
>But regardless, I intended for this to happen since it will get any viewers jumping ship to stay with me and the news sites give me free advertising

This is practically the same thing he said 2-3 days ago when someone admitted to faking a Nintendo leak that Tyler fell for

>Oh no, I coincidentally heard things about this around the same time from my sources

This is also the same situation as the L4D3 thing. News sites made bullshit articles about his bullshit video and then Valve themselves had to step in and dispute the bullshit. He then cried about how Valve threw him under the bus during that situation on the "Moving on from VNN" stream. So much for "being a new Tyler"

Truth be told, I'm not gonna pretend I know who this is, I've heard he's got a lot of Bethesda ties, since apparently he's mainly a BGS youtuber, I just wanted post it because I saw a lot of people spreading it around.

I used to watch that guy a lot. I guess the easiest comparison would be to call him the VNN of Fallout/Bethesda (i.e. autistically dedicated to discussing one specific developer and/or franchise) but unlike Tyler, who at least tries to maintain an air of legitimate journalism, all of Matty's videos are just typical commentary/rant/vlog type shit and I've rarely if ever seen him report on information he's received, because to my knowledge he hasn't ever gotten any. Then again, it's been like 4 years since I've watched one of his vids so maybe his stuff has changed radically since then. Someone who watches his videos could fill me in on what he's been doing for the past few years.

That's a lot more informative, I've heard a lot of people say he's really credible, but yeah I had no clue who he was. I guess it's just two "journalists" having a he said bullshit match. TY for clearing that up

Earlier today Tyler put out a 30 second preview of his next Citadel video. Seeing GabeN say there is no game or project called Citadel only for Tyler to say "Today we had the largest leak for Citadel yet" was funny, especially considering what he's talking about isn't a leak and was just a few strings of code in a Dota 2 update

I hope Tyler keeps making more outrageous claims and gets others like this guy to tell him off soon. He didn't have anyone to keep him in check other than Valve itself in the past, so seeing how this will turn out is going to be fun. He might have a shot with the Nintendo community since it's all thousands of unverifiable rumors being spread at once, although he might just drown out in the sea of Nintendo leakers

Yeah when people talk about him getting into Nintendo leaks, all I can think is that he's 30 years too late to make a splash there. There are so many fake leaks and rumors about stuff like Pokemon, Smash Bros, and Metroid games that all he's doing is pissing into an ocean of piss.

He literally recorded himself killing idle and friendly players in TF2 and thought to himself "yeah, this is good footage for me to talk over"
you can't make this shit up :story:
I imagine he is so bad at the game he can't actually get a good killing spree that actually has merit
NOOOOOOOOOOO STOP WASTING THE BANDWIDTH OF OUR DEAR FEEDER NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

Shut the fuck up. Not only you're among the winniest posters in this website you're the one with the most retarded points, only topped by the lolbertarian with the manboobs profile picture.
I assume that you must live in a third world shithole, since this place runs worse for you than Youtube you googlebot.

"I didn't fuck up with my compulsive liar ways, it was actually a Machiavelian move to attract attention towards my cocktent and purge the normies at the same time thanks to those guilable journos"
I hate ecelebs so fucking much.

I would laugh that he can't get the @TylerMcVicker handle but account squatting/inactivity is a pain and Twitter should really fucking do something about it.View attachment 1857083

I think he's telling the truth because I remember a video from 2015 of him plugging his Patreon and he included a recorded clip of his Dad essentially calling him a waster, essentially to say "my parents disapprove of/are disappointed by what I'm doing". It's long gone now, because I'm assuming he immediately realised that non-consentually recording your father to shill your Patreon is about as low of an act as if sounds.
if account "squatting" (cringe) makes you so mad at the internet, here's an easy solution: don't use twitter, especially not with your real name, normalfag.
lmao at the "squatting" thing, in that case it's the opposite of "squatting", squatting is a form of violation of property rights, what you're proposing is taking the property of someone else, you're the squatter fella

Fine, we'll call it account taking-a-username-and-then-going-inactive-for-eternity

Assuming that Bethesda truly had something planned this far out surely it would only be known to those higher up the food chain. And as far as I'm aware it's pretty damn rare for leaks to come from directors or writers or anyone else what would be in the planning stages. Usually if it's someone on the inside it's probably a programmer, fact is they don't get payed so much, thus don't have the same drive or loyalty to stick with the company. That or it's someone contracted out, I believe voice actors would tend to be a good example of that. But it's pretty unlikely that either are on the project at this point considering they have bigger projects that are being worked on, and it's not coming out till 2026 at the earliest. Assuming they have something being worked on it's probably still in the planning stages, where only key like directors, writers, and executives know what's going on, none of which really tend to leak shit.

Sounds very sus to me.

Also doesn't add up with Bethesda's usual cycle for these games, especially now that Microsoft is starting to get their hands into it. A 15 year gap between mainline Fallout Titles is an extremely unrealistic proposition both from a business sense, and their previous behaviors. Bethesda's developed a habit of doing a mainline fallout, a side fallout in the same engine and assets, and then working on the next mainline. Odds are good that Fallout 5 is in the engine overhaul and asset proofing stage right now. Microsofts not gonna want a side story sequel, working in the FO4 engine and assets again. They're gonna want a huge Fallout 5 to plaster around as a first party exclusive/achievement.

And seriously, 15 years? That's larger than the gap between Fallout 2 and 3. The franchise nearly died there. They can't coast it on Fallout 76 like Elder Scrolls has done with ESO, since 76 was a critical and public disappointment. At least ESO isn't a fundamental disaster.

seems exactly like what you've described, more speculations or whatever.

I would find it very funny if Crucible is just a development tool or something that Valve is using and is completely unrelated to anything.

This is gold; he just got ratioed by Garry Newman.
Gary is one of the few people who have seen the Alyx sourcecode and probably has a very good understanding of what Valve is actually working on, so if even he's poking fun at it its very likely that its a big nothingburger (as per usual for tyler).

I am going to tell you from personal experience working in the games industry briefly, There is absolutely no way they planned a Fallout New Vegas sequel for the later half of the decade. Game companies and publishers are way too greedy to ever plan that far ahead. Of course, plans slip and games can end up in development for a long time. But no one goes, "hell yeah, let's waste 5 - 8 years making a sequel to that underperforming niche title instead of 2-3 years on something less complex. Or plan to get it done whilst we work on other things." At best, some executive has it in his head that maybe they might visit FNV "in five years or so" and non comitantly told some dweeb that without thinking about it. Who then sperged to Tyler. Who himself now takes that as gospel. Because he was right about ONE leak.

He's so proud of a bloated 14 minute video based of 7 lines of code and an interview that discredits his speculation
1611462740387.png

I'm kind of glad he's broadening his spectrum, the more stupid shit he says that's newsworthy the better. Eventually something will get the attention of the company or a reputable community member and he'll get called out for it. But as far as I know, every GTA news youtuber is some pasty white kid or a nigger, so he may be able to get away with this one.

He certainly does treat himself like an insider considering he claims to have evidence of these games. I really do hope he can realize what's wrong with his reporting, but he's tried time and time again and never changes.

Christ, I just watched this video now. It takes like 3 fucking minutes for him to get to the point, and the point is that the official ESO Twitter account tweeted out something with the words "past and future" with an image of a map containing Skyrim (i.e. the "past") and the "future", which is Hammerfell because there's some light thing on the part of the map covering Hammerfell, and because of this completely fucking small detail, therefore Bethesda have publicly confirmed that ESVI is taking place in Hammerfell.
