Capture a Beak Thing. You can put unconscious beak things in a bed/bedroll and they will be locked there. Won't starve to death, will recover health. You can then wail on it until it passes out or your hands hurt too much. Be sure to heal it as well so it doesn't bleed out. When it wakes up it'll still be locked to the bed/bedroll. Since the beak thing will be very high leveled compared to your donut, you'll get shitloads of EXP. Great for quickly training any weapon, especially martial arts since that'll boost toughness and strength like mad. Be sure to wear the heaviest shit you can find as that will also increase the EXP multiplier, as will using a shitty weapon. Make sure to keep the door locked, most people will try to kill your new punching bag should they see it.
How do you get an unconscious beak thing? Lead one to a town and the guards will (usually) beat the shit out of it. Give it first aid, pick it up by the neck, name it George, and drag it to its new home.
