It's fitting to see a shitty developer circle the wagon to protect another. That said, having played the Open Beta of Skull and Bones, I can say that game is actually more fun than Starfield. That's not much to accomplish, mind you, but if that's Emil's gold standard it certainly explains his thinking... of course he could also just be throwing a tantrum.

A Rainbow Six on Mobile that isn't actually Rainbow Six Mobile:

Tom Clancy must've been doing the Gangnam Style in his grave right about now
nah, dude was fine with selling off his name before he died, I mean dude was 60 and a successful author, why bother. ubisoft has been doing "tom clancy" games for decades.

dunno why people always equate him with tolkien.

I went back and played Valhalla again fresh. Its not bad at all like I previously thought. Idk. Aside from the length it's....not bad. Really. I like the folklore and the historical stuff they pulled from. Evior still sounds like Norwegian Jodie Foster but its fitting.

The updates helped too. I was not expecting Roshan. That was a pleasant surprise.

Valhalla was a game where I said myself "nah that's gonna be my last AC game". It was so huge, so repetitive, so empty, that it took me an effort to even complete it. However, there are things that UBI do really well:
- graphics and accuracy of historical places.
-music
If only they stopped being autists and also did the rest well.

Regarding their general fate, there's one franchise that justifies for me UBI's existence: ANNO. I don't want chinks ever touching what is the most German game ever.

This is sad

dunno, I was never bothered by it tbh. dude made his fame and fortune and then peaced out. just because ubisoft slaps his name on games doesn't mean much, but I'm not that much of a brandwhore anyway.
besides, not even tolkien is safe from current year retardation, just look at rings of power. but no one is blaming tolkien for it. so might as well take the money to chill more comfortably at old age, it won't retroactively make the originals worse.

after what they did with settlers, chinks would probably be an improvement. but then even the not!settlers by the original dev is pozzed with current year shit, apparently they see a huge demographic of blacks and women play some german management-autism game...

Decided I wanted to enjoy some trash this weekend so I started Ghost Recon Breakpoint, I liked Wildlands ok so I figured it would be a good waste of several hours.

It wasnt.

Game is the most generic of generic slop I have ever played. Its like finely tuned to have no personality of its own, yet have every single Ubisoft characteristic. You want a useless gearing system? Got it! A very large map (that also has some of the worst readability I have ever seen) littered with useless pickups? You got it! Terrible voice acting and cliche plot? Its here! Buggy, crashing mess? You guess right!

It plays fine, I did enjoy the shooting for the most part, and having a full team of aimbot NPCs can be fun, but thats really the only positive. Everything else is just boring. The missions are just go here and grab thing, or go here and escort npc. It crashed multiple times in the 4 hours I gave the game, and I got stuck behind numerous pieces of the environment. I can see glimpses of a fun tactical shooter, but I was never really encouraged to go that route when enemies all died super fast and I equipped my entire team with snipers.

So I put it down, no big deal honestly I got the game for like 5 bucks on ebay. But I still had that urge for an Ubisoft outpost takeover simulator and I decided to give Avatar a try again.

Avatar came out at a really busy time for me so I didnt get a chance to play it past the tutorial. I sat with it all of yesterday and really enjoyed my time with it compared to Breakpoint. I have quite a few complaints but the gameplay loop has hooked me in so I can overlook a lot.

Annoying shit:
-The MC voice acting sucks. My character is supposed to be a young catboy so it makes sense he sounds like one, but its really grating to hear a zoomer talk constantly. Theres some DEI humans that are obnoxious (indian girl that never shuts the fuck up), but the navi all sound how they should.

-I know its based off the license but the almost cartoonish amount of climate change propaganda in the game is staggering. Every other line of dialogue is about how evil climate change is.

-Ubisoft gear system, its bad and in this game and really annoying because when you just want to explore you can run into mechs that will stomp on your face if you arent properly levelled.

-Some crashes, I had 2 in my playthrough so far, and not just software crashes, they turned off my console.

-Cutscenes fade in and out to black, kind of jarring and take you out of the game.

Stuff thats good:
-Game is beautiful, I do not know how the devs managed to make an enviroment like this at 60fps on consoles but others need to look at it. Theres so many little critters running around, and the world lights up at night.

-Traversal is really good. My catboy can climb, and I have a double jump so I can hop around really fast. I ended at the part where you get the flying mount and that seems pretty fun as well.

-The world is fun to explore, theres all these little caves that give bonus health, and theres usually something new every few minutes of walking around. You can tell they handmade the map for walking because its so easy to get around by jumping. Lots of lore stuff as well, if you are into the universe. Going up the floating mountains felt like it was out of the movie.

-Combat good. You arent some supersoldier, you get shredded fast by machineguns so you need to be fairly stealthy. If you like stealth archer TES gameplay, you will like this. You also get guns to shoot but the bows are pretty fun with different types of ammo for each.

-Music score is good, it has a lot of the tracks from the movies.

So yeah I am actually really excited to play more of this. The worst thing I can say about the game is that its based off Avatar, and I have no real strong feelings about that franchise.

If they do actually burn down, I hope someone competent will snatch the Might and Magic IP. I'm so starved for a good (new) Might and Magic game. Be it RPG or Turn based strat.

Watch Dogs movie with strong black female lead:

It's funny, I forgot that the Robot Chicken crew were set to make a Rabbids movie. I've hated the Rabbids (and it goes to show Ubi cares more about them than Rayman himself these days), but who knows, it could be a surprise like The Angry Birds Movie, but I don't know

unless actual shooting starts none of this is real. typical hollywood shit.

it's not too bad, but ymmv. granted I started playing it in a worse state and then saw somewhat constant improvement, I might be biased. overall story actually makes some sense, with not!elon musk being so naive his "world 2.0" got taken over by bad guys, complete with liberal retards making it worse for everyone which caused the whole thing :story:
where it falls apart is the details like killing off your big bad celebrity in literally the second mission, but I still have to give them credit for giving him a valid motive, not some LE INCEL shit modern writers do.

but I agree in so far that it's one of those games where you have to be the type to enjoy the ubisoft formula and somewhat "make your own fun". not with all the modifiers and stuff, imho that's silly and doing the work of the devs, what I mean is playing it a little differently. I'm mostly there for exploration and collecting shit, so I'm basically doing full stealthruns, even if it takes a bit longer instead of going full rambo with a team of bots. iirc it does get harder, and I haven't tried the new "endgame" stuff they added. there's also the "raid" island they abandoned, which actually needs some coordination between players (or proper stealth to not get gangbanged). sad they discarded it wholesale, what most people had an issue with were the WoW style dungeon "bosses" (which were not too bad imho, but kinda felt off in ghost recon).

another aspect is that ubisoft, or at least the devs, were still allowed to have fun with it. yeah, adding terminators to fucking ghost recon is retarded from a purist perspective, for everyone else it's silly fun (similar to the predator mission in wildlands). I also can't shit on them too hard when they sneak it literal snatcher references (or they were stealing the images due to laziness, but I try to be optimistic about it).

as a whole it suffers from trying to be 2-3 things at once. it was supposed to be ubisoft's answer to destiny with online coop and live service, but they managed to fuck that up so hard (literally, even their battle pass didn't work and they just gave everyone everything in the end) they scrapped those plans.

Game is beautiful, I do not know how the devs managed to make an enviroment like this at 60fps on consoles but others need to look at it. Theres so many little critters running around, and the world lights up at night.
this. for all of ubishits fault, their engine team and "world builders" are actually the "AAAA" part. their engine runs like fucking butter (most of the time), has all and every mustard-race feature you could ask for (skull&bones literally let you swap buttons/triggers to properly claw it, I can count the games that support that on one hand), and when exploring shit there's a lot of little bits and pieces that make exploring fun, and since all that stuff off the beaten path is considered less important they have more freedom to the point there's some solid quality in there. like even in breakpoint where you puzzle together some clues for some off-mission only to find out that's a serial killer. and all that by environmental clues and writing, not your character going OMG HE IS WHAT?!?!?! spelling that shit out for you.

A lot of projects in the media industry, and especially those in Pedowood, get announced but are never made nor updated since

Reminder that they still have all this shit in production:
How many of them are actually still in development though? For instance it still lists The Division movie that is deader than dead at this point, and looking at the reference links for the others most of them are stories that are several years old at least.

Man it's a good thing that not all Ubisoft games are always online, live service shite......

Like I stated from my post above you, studios announce movies and shows, but are not confirmed years after they are announced
