Ubisoft Sellout - Bankruptcy Speedrun Any% Thread

Some of the shareholders apparently do want the company to go private, so i've heard.
That was one particular investor, I posted their open letter a few pages back if you're interested. As I pointed out at the time it's kind of a nothingburger because that investor owns <1% of Ubi's stock and by their own admission have only owned that for a few weeks. When some of the the bigger/longer term investors start saying shit it'll mean something.

I've heard a theory that Guillemont has been deliberately tanking the stock so his family can buy up more of it for pennies but it'd be hilarious if the chinks ended up cucking him out of that scheme.
That was one of the theories the angry investor posited, while funny is massively unlikely. It's likely that a significant portion of the Guillemot's wealth comes from/is tied up in the valuation of the stock, meaning as it goes down so does their purchasing power. Even then assuming it worked and they drove down the prices to buy more. Congratulations you now own a worthless company and are gambling you can somehow turn it around despite having cratered your rep with both your customers and the kind of people whose support you'll need to keep going.

Even if Ubisoft stopped with political pandering it's not like it will make their games fun. Their games are just terminally bad with a gameplay loop that even normies got sick of. The addition of live service was the thing that pushed them over the edge because now you don't even get the satisfaction of 100% a map. The only real solution is to burn everything down and start from scratch.

Ubisoft's hubris is really coming home to roost.

So nothing relevant, got it.

I don't know about you chaps but I'm looking forward to the race to the bottom between this shitshow and GoY (it really is a fantastic acronym) since I expect those 2 games singlehandedly to spark a lot of rage from the Japanese market towards the west.

That or asscreed shadows will now star Yasuke, the incredibly big asian man.

Has anybody made a collage of sorts or comparisons where we see dev teams that worked on some of the greatest games in history of yesteryear (because let's be honest I don't think many if any games made in the last 10 years are making any top 10 of all time lists) vs dev teams in more recent history? And I know these are probably just employees doing all sorts of useless shit like running errands for their sex traffickers or answering phone calls but for any dev teams with more woman on them than is necessary (0, 0 are necessary); does anybody think if you gave these hambeasts, troons, and troons sympathizers 20 years to make a game that they could create a San Andreas? Half-Life 2? Portal 2? Ocarina of Time? Absolute wastes of space and more trouble than they'll ever be worth in the video game industry.

Ass Creed 1 is the first game i remember having a disclaimer about how the game was made by a diverse team of niggerfaggots etc. Fuck off indeed, what a bunch of clowns.
They added that in because people started getting up their ass about "Muh Islam" and "Muh Crusades", and frankly, some of it went both ways. This was 2007 and things were a bit tense back then, what with Bush still in charge and the FBI finding a schizoid Muslim to groom as a terrorist every six months, or so it seemed. Clearly "Get bent, faggots" would have been a much better thing to say in hindsight, but for a game in 2007 to pull some sort of ass-covering about how they're totally not for or against any religion whatsoever was a smart bet. Obviously they should have dropped it once they went to Italy where it was Christian-on-Christian violence, but alas, frogs gonna frog.

Ran across this video and it seems that this entire thing is a product of ignorance and incompetence. The higher ups don't talk about it and the people working on the game don't bother to check the criticism. It's probably a reason why every time they seem to bring up something to try and get respect from Japan, they continue to fall flat on their face (Oda symbols, Chinese architecture, wrong symbols, the half tori gate, etc.)

That's pretty much what's been permeating every places nowadays.

Only good vibes. Stop hating. I'm sick and tired of hearing the word woke.

That last one is notable. People are getting under their skin, as much as they're trying to maintain their echo chambers.
