In many of these cases, I think it's just a case of women not wanting to or not knowing how to grow old gracefully. Hair dye looks shite and ruins your hair long-term. Also, caking on the makeup never hides the wrinkles; it just makes your face look like a knackered settee. The years of heavy makeup and tanning ruin the skin too. And a lot of women seem to think that becoming rake thin will help to wind back the clock but it just makes you look like you're on meth.
It's the same for blokes to an extent. After 30 you're better off just buying some decent smart gear instead of walking round in ripped jeans and a shagger T-shirt with your hair done like a 23 year old Paul Weller.
