He’s Nigerian! I think near Lagos, since he was talking about a kidnapping of a school of girls.

His pidgin is hard to understand.

I just did a quick search, Ugo is a town in Edo province in Nigeria. It’s likely that’s his hometown.
I thought it meant Uganda too, at first.

I know this was shared last year but out of all the comics I've seen in this thread, this one makes me feel like I'm having a stroke the most. Did he blend two comics? Paste the wrong text?
 
I always find it funny how many of the people in his comics do not look West African at all. It makes it very obvious in many cases that he has simply traced over a photo/drawing of a non-African person and poorly recolored it.
Still love his work, though.
I suppose it wouldn't be *authentically* Nigerian if it didn't employ shortcuts.
 
I'm very satisfied to see my guy Jesse still kicking with his work. He's wholesome and deserves only true and honest fans.
 
I love the proscriptive tone his comics have. Reminds me of Bible literature for children but instead of forbidding kinslaying and eating prawns it's practical 21st century advice like washing your penis and respecting fat hoes.
