A lot of these faces aren't that bad, but then some of them are way beyond uncanny valley. They all have that "trace a reaction face to make a meme drawing" effect to them.

Ok but what is up with him and Mansplaining Postpartum Psychosis. It's not super common, like 1 in 1000 childbirths. Like yeah it's an issue but it's not like every woman suddenly has the urge to murder their freshly born flesh sack.
You're talking about a man that had to make a comic about why it wasn't acceptable to wash your eyes out with urine. His target audience isn't exactly educated Westerners. The poor man is probably using his day-to-day life as inspiration for the comic. That said, I feel sorry for him it that's the case.

This is absolutely fascinating. I'm pretty sure it's mostly traced, it has that uncanniness to it, but at the same time it has a lot of personality? Must be those awkward text bubbles.

I can see that, but upon further research it isn't always straight to baby killing but it's usually depression/mania/anxiety in not just women but their partners. Too bad there isn't enough research to find an exact cause of this, and it's pretty unknown to even Westeners. Soooo he's explaining it pretty badly in my opinion because like I said it's not just straight up killing the baby or for whatever stressed her out before the pregnancy, that's a misconception because it can happen to literally anyone no matter if they gave birth to the child or not and even if they've never felt depression in their life. Does shed some much needed light in it though!

I can see where you're coming from, and I know that the 'postpartum' issue is very complex.
But I think that he is just showing what really happens on his country, without all the technical explanation. Bear in mind that Nigeria is still a very machist and backwards country where people legit believe that washing your eyes with urine will make the 'apollo' go away, and that a person seizing in the middle of the street is some sort of victim of magic rituals. The nigerian men will never admit/acknowledge they can be part of the problem, and the woman will never see that's isn't entirely her fault. The culture programmed them this way. They only see depressed mom=will kill baby, period.

Well, his work entertains me more then Dobby’s ever did.

Am I the only one who thinks his broken English cartoons are reminiscent of:

Gems like "skubidoo and bomblo" are just too similar. Whatever the case, this thread is a good way to cap off the week.
