This was all I used to see as a kid before the Saturday morning cartoons showed up on a CBS station in town, they never played Davey & Goliath so this was my thing!

Legend of Korra, Steven Universe, and Adventure Time have a big Tumblr following. I don't know what the statistics are and whether or not danger-haired angry bloggers outnumber the kids, but my guess is that they are at least a deafening vocal minority and spam shit to the show artists on their tumblrs and twitter which probably influences things. It doesn't help that some of the shows creators are apparently as big of "muh progressive revolution" hipsters as their followers are.

If I'm not wrong, UK didn't censor only ''lesbian akshun'' but also hetero ''romance'' too (there are two other chars that also kiss in the show, that part was sniped out of the show), so i think it has to do more with ''making show more closer to the younger children'' rather than ''ahahha fuk u fags lololo no lesbian shit''.

Either way, I like seeing jimmies rustled.

So let me see if I understand this correctly. It is censorship when a show is altered to be shown in a different country (with changes approved by the creators, or it wouldn't air at all). It is not censorship if a video game is altered to be sold in a different country (with changes approved by the creators, or it wouldn't be sold at all).

Tumblr is weird.

I wonder if they also censor the unnecessarily grimdark shit in this so-called children's cartoon. That creature that looked like some fucked up hand would've given me nightmares as a kid.

Then again, Courage the Cowardly Dog existed, but times have changed since then.
