I'd definitely be up for accepting someone else to help out. Need to tidy up the dashboard and address some of the pain points after doing the first round last night. Will focus on getting the reports backlog sorted.

I launched with 11 articles. Since last night alone, there are now 145 total with 77 in the backlog to go through. That's thanks to everyone contributing. I'll go through as much as I can tonight and then have a look at some of these tweaks.

Will keep you updated, but let me know if you would like to help out with validation and I can get you a login sorted.
 
@BrightonAndHoveAlbion if someone could set up an anonymous spreadsheet, we could probably do something more ambitious like that.

Been working on a few quality of life tweaks to address some of the problems I had when running through reports last night. Also want to get it ready to invite trusted people on to go through some reports.

Various tweaks:
- I've added a duplicate check on the report page. This was driving me mad since Tadi Alemeyeha kept getting reported as he was the latest.

- I've made the API of the map listings public, which you can access at: https://migrantcrime.org/api/reports . Feel free to use my data! This endpoint is without any authentication and publicly-accessible. It includes all of the pins listed on the map.
- Various styling tweaks

Going to actually go through more of these reports. 89 waiting to be looked at now. Got a few names for people who I'd trust to jump on and help run through these reports, but will work on setting those up tomorrow as I need to get through some of these.

I started this thinking I'd be able to handle it pretty easily. Reading one report is easy but when you get into the 30th that night, it really drains you. Especially when 80% are rapes, some with victims ranging from 2 years old - 95 years old.

Feeling this way proves we're human and there's a reason we're doing this project. One thing that's really kept me going through the worst of the these is remembering that when this is shared around, we might allow someone to see what their local migrant nonces look like and will be able to ensure they, their families and especially their children never approach these people.

Thanks to both you and @#FF0000 for helping get these shitheads' crimes on the map as I'm developing more. Will get on and do a few cases later when I'm sick of coding for the night.
 

UPDATE​

Various dev work that took place:
- Lots of tweaks to the dashboard to make it easier for all of the boys on-board to look through reports.
- Added a total count on the homepage
- (Still working on this) A way of searching criminal names and putting a postcode in to snap the map immediately to that position.

Other bits:
- We finally cleared all of the backlog on the dashboard itself and are now at around 195 individual reports on the map. Thanks to everyone who contributed.
- Have started an X account (@ukmigrantcrime) to try and get the news out there and it's gone pretty well.
- Have been featured on the How Far From My Doorstep website which is now driving 80% of traffic.
- Active users never dips below 5 now and averages between 8 - 15 people at a time.
- Today alone, 500 new users have visited the site. I'm also seeing the link shared a lot on Facebook where I have no presence.
- I received an XMR donation for £16.80 which covers the full cost of hosting for this month. INSANE to imagine. If the guy who donated that is reading this post, THANK YOU.

Awesome. I'm not from the UK and can't really say much about the situation besides knowing it's beyond fucked, but you guys are all doing the lord's work here. Unironically, reporting these crimes and providing public information regarding them is actually serving the public interest in a way I know the UK will never dare to. It's nice to see it all coming together. Good luck, you dopey bongs.
 
Man fair play to you. Any plans to expand this out the Republic of Ireland as well? I know a lot of the anti-migration groups between the UK and Ireland co-ordinate together(especially in the north) it'd be a great way to spread similar awareness since regardless both countries share an open land border together. Though I understand you already have a Herculean task maintaining just the UK side of things.

In all seriousness, absolutely. I'd have to rebrand it to make sure we don't include any reference to the word 'UK' otherwise I'd get mortar bombed in my pyjamas. Alternatively, I'd be more than happy to send any interested parties the source code so they can reuse the entire website but rebrand the individual parts for their country.
 
So based on the Community Happens post, North Wales is one of the least-migrant filled, safe places left in the UK?
