UN UN concerned about rising levels of racism in Sweden - they just hate other races for no reason

A report released by the UN Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination (CERD) on Friday expressed repeated concern over the level of racism in Sweden.
The report pointed to “racist hate speech against Afro-Swedes, Jews, Muslims and Roma”, a problem that the committee said is particularly prevalent “during election campaigns, as well as in the media and on the internet.”

“The Committee is particularly concerned with reports of arson attacks against mosques and reception centres for asylum seekers,” the report added.

Fires at asylum facilities around Sweden have occurred on several occasions since the number of migrants arriving in the country peaked in 2015. At least 112 blazes occurred at asylum accommodation centres, or planned accommodation centres, across Sweden in the following year, according to national police statistics.

Mosques have also been the frequent targets of both arson attacks and racist vandalism. The report criticized Sweden for a “lack of sufficient funding to safeguard mosques against attacks”.

“The Committee is also concerned at the continued reports of racist hate crimes and hate speech against Muslim ethno-religious minority groups, especially Muslim women,” the report stated, adding that Muslims in Sweden face “difficulties […] in terms of access to employment and housing outside of minority populated areas, amounting to de facto segregation.”

The report also pointed to the “stereotypical representation of Muslims in the media, and by politicians.”

The recent spate of public rallies by neo-Nazi groups like the Nordic Resistance Movement (NRM) also caught the UN’s notice.

“The Committee is concerned at the presence of racist and extremist organizations in the State party, and their public demonstrations,” it stated. The report further chastised Sweden for not investigating crimes by neo-Nazi groups as terrorism.

The UN CERD report was based on input from the UN Association of Sweden. That group’s chairman, Aleksander Gabelic, said earlier this spring that the nation’s leaders "must be more rigorous in dealing with racist and Nazi organizations."

“The increasing threat from racist and Nazi groups must be addressed,” Gabelic said in conjunction with the report’s release. “It’s not fair that people should be afraid to be in the streets and squares of our cities.”

Keep in mind ICE has a pool of 6-10 million uncaught aliens, as well as a unfathomable number in various stages of trial, appeals, etc to sift through, so Sweden will not be able to deport at the same rate. I am only bringing up the most superficial of logistical concerns to your proposal.

Construction workers in Sweden are fairly well payed, there's a shitton of extra costs for the employer, and because of socialism you can't lay off laborers when the construction stalls due to ancient ruins. Not just socialism, they do it in capitalist US too. Construction crews often dig up centuries-old Indian villages, they call an archaeologist, the archaeologist takes pictures and notes, and then they build right over it. Sometimes this leads to people finding basements full of Indian skeletons later on.

Now what I don't understand is why they melted down archaeological artifacts. If there isn't any room for them in museum or university collections (maybe they had to make room for more important art like transgender African basket weaving or whatever), couldn't they just sell them?

About the only way this isn't heinous is if it is, in fact, actually scrap metal. Since metal was difficult to obtain, they would often melt down their own metal items into ingots to reuse the metal. I have no idea whether that site is credible, either, but it says they were actual artifacts and is specific about it:

The absolute majority of those fires were started by the refugees themselves. The police has admitted that. It's done either by neglect, boredom, malice/discontent or because they figure that if the place burns down they will get to live in a better place. And they're not torching shanties or barracks, no, they've set fire to countryside estates because they wanted to live in a bigger city. 400 year old buildings have burnt down because of that. In some cases they have refused to get off the bus when arriving to their temporary housing and sometimes that building mysteriously catches fire.

Some buildings get burnt down by locals, but that seems to be characterized by burning it well before anyone arrives to live there and it doesn't seem to happen to old mansions with a local historical value.

No targeted arsons, it would have been in the news something fierce if that happened. Or maybe the news media have become gun shy after the previous cases of arson turned out to be caused by stupidity. One of the most well reported instances of arson turned out to be a deep fryer that someone didn't turn off when leaving the mosque.

The Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan's Mosque in Stockholm had their front doors vandalized a couple of years ago, it's happened a couple of times actually and seems targeted at just that one mosque. Maybe because Sheik Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan ran a research center that shit talked the jews and Israel.

The neo-nazi's strongest showing was last year when they mobilized neo-nazis from the other northern european countries to join their demonstration in Gothenburg. Afterwards the police estimated that they had just ~300 participants. The neo-nazi threat amounts to nothing and the security police agrees with that, unless they go ultra hardcore and start committing large scale acts of terrorism, the security police agrees with that as well so they keep tabs on what they're up to.

Who the fuck is actually afraid of nazi's in an everyday situation? The threat exists on an almost purely imaginary level - sort of like being afraid of ghosts or Freddy Kreuger. People, especially women but also many boys/men, are afraid of other things when walking alone at night. You're much more likely to get beat up by Antifa than neo-nazis and even that happening is very unlikely.
