Twitter is “taking child exploitation seriously,” the platform’s toughest critic on child sexual exploitation (CSE) told Teslarati in an exclusive interview.

Eliza Bleu is a survivor of human trafficking and an advocate for victims, especially children. Bleu has been putting pressure on Twitter for several years to remove CSE material at scale, and up until Elon Musk’s acquisition, Twitter has been slow to remove most of the content. She told Teslarati that she is happy to see the new changes the platform is implementing under Elon Musk’s new leadership.

She pointed out that under the new leadership, Twitter is “taking child exploitation seriously.” However, there is still much work to be done. There is an ongoing lawsuit against the social media platform that began before Elon Musk purchased it. The plaintiffs, John Doe 1 and John Doe 2 were minors who were sexually exploited, and videos of that exploitation were posted to Twitter. When the two, who are now adults, begged Twitter to remove the content, Twitter refused.

The content that the plaintiffs wanted Twitter to remove had over 167,000 views and 2,223 retweets.

Bleu pointed out a few key changes Twitter has made under its new leadership. The first changes were to its reporting system. In a tweet thread, Bleu made suggestions for Twitter, and so far, the platform has implemented two of those suggestions. The first one is clear and easy reporting. Twitter implemented a two-click reporting for children reporting their own abuse material.

Bleu noted that there needs to be a separate tab for adults experiencing sexual exploitation as well. “It needs to be crystal clear for both adults and children experiencing sexual exploitation, and the reporting options need to be separate.”

The other key issue that the platform has been noticeably working on is the removal of hashtags known to be used to sell CSE. These are known hashtags that are used for trading CSE on the platform. In the video below, attorneys Lisa Haba and Peter Gentala, the two attorneys representing John Doe 1 and John Doe 2, explain how these tags are used.

These hashtags are mentioned in the lawsuit, and Teslarati investigated them to see if the platform was actually removing the content. We found that Twitter is removing most of the content; however, there are still accounts posting requests for content.

The screenshot below shows that Twitter removed content from the “Latest” tabs for one of those top hashtags. The tabs for “Photos” and “Videos” was also empty. However, the “Top Tweets” section still had requests for CSE and used several other tags. Unfortunately, some of those tags are still very active. Bleu noted that the predators will continue to post using a variety of tags, but the tags could help authorities catch the criminals–which is one of the reasons why Teslarati is not publishing the tags.

In her tweet thread, Bleu noted that some of the tags outside of the top three are actively engaging in sharing and posting the illegal content. Bleu told Teslarati that Twitter’s new sense of urgency makes her hopeful.

“After years of advocating for the minor survivors of Twitter, I’ve never been as hopeful as I am right now. I don’t expect perfection from a platform. All I’ve ever wanted was to see a sense of urgency around such a serious matter. In many of these cases, this is a matter of life or death for each victim, so every second matters.”

Bleu’s suggestion for Twitter is to continue prioritizing the removal of the CSE content, go through reports, go over all the backlogs of all the reports, and work hand-in-hand with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. She added that Twitter should innovate around this issue using all the technology that’s available.

“There’s a lot of free technology available that platforms utilize and have had a lot of success,” Bleu added. Her final request for Twitter and Elon Musk is “to tackle this issue at scale without violating innocent citizens’ digital privacy rights.”

Why is it sexual exploitation of children is directly or tangentially related to virtually every major story that hits the headlines? Scratch the surface of any piece of big news lately and the picture emerges of a smiling fucking pedophile trying to diddle a kid. For example, Twitter went on a pedo-hunting rampage this week and deleted hundreds of pedophile accounts, many of which were Antifa-related accounts. I mean seriously, is Antifa a pedophile front group? And then there are the groomers in schools disguised as teachers and the drag queen story hours and little kids in clothing ads holding BDSM-themed teddy bears and Prince Andrew and Gates and Clinton and Epstein didn't kill himself and what the actual fuck?

Are these child-raping monsters really this pervasive, this highly placed and well-connected, this numerous? Is this seeming epidemic of pederasty some kind of strange new mind virus or have these perverted rat bastards been here all along, networking, scheming, organizing, waiting for their moment to mainstream this vile shit? Are they organized, and if so, what's the driver here? Better, who's the driver here?

I don't know what to make of any of this. This goes off into conspiracy theory territory. A decade or so ago, I'd shy away from conspiracy theory-sounding, tinfoil hat-wearing stuff, but the last few years have made me a big believer in batshit crazy theories of anything since the most outlandish explanation is now usually the most likely explanation, a kind of Reverse Occam's Razor.

I don't know about the elites, but as for the Antifa and education levels, Marxists have always had a sort of 'on the down-low' deal with pedophiles. The Marxists want to tear everything down, and the pedos understand that they'll be able to do whatever they want with kids after that's done. They had this same sort of tacit understanding and relationship in pre-war Europe, too, but it got more overt after the 60's. A lot of Neo-Marxist and related literature is about abolishing age of consent laws, erasing social taboos around sex, etc. There's a clear outreach to that crowd... maybe because Marxist movements are designed for resentful losers and narcissistic social pariahs.

How long until it's framed as Tranny Holocaust and the work of Trump-Putin-Xi axis?
"Queer kids have to do online sexwork, which btw is very safe, so that they can get crypto to buy the life saving hormones and surgeries that conservatives/their parents are denying them!"
I bet it would go something like that.

We need to acknowledge that these people are far more common than we want them to be, and that this goes all the way to the top. I do t think society wants to confront this but we have to.
If it’s innate then they can’t be helped and will always be a danger and they need to be permanently removed. If it’s ‘learnable’ then we need to make sure that as much of this filth is removed from accessibility as possible.
Up to five percent of men are pedophiles. I e not seen data for women but that’s probably non zero too. That’s one in twenty. The scale of this is immense.

The fact that Twitter is swarming with CP isn’t a surprise when you consider two things:

1. It allows pornography on the platform

2. It allows minors to use their platform, despite allowing pornography.

At one point I decided to do an experiment and made a throwaway account where I listed my age as 15, then followed a bunch of people in various fandoms (Steven Universe, MHA, Inuwasha, Berserk, Disney general, Star Wars, Genshin impact to be precise)… and within hours my timeline was bombarded with unmarked pornographic images. While most of it was drawn pornography depicting minors, I still ended up reporting it anyway because it should’ve been marked. Never ended up hearing back from Twitter support for that, but got my account banned for saying nigger once.

Even fucking hentai foundry bans minors from their platform; a site which still runs on early 2000s technology, mind you, can ban minors and make it explicitly clear that minors aren’t allowed on their platform due to legal reasons. The fact that Twitter, despite its funding that it has received over the years, somehow can’t implement a “no minors” rule is mind boggling. Or at least it is, until you realize that much of the user base and moderation team is full of groomers. Most groomers start off by desensitizing their victims via over exposure to porn, after all.

It also makes sense as to why the Twitter “activists” took great offence to Texas possibly passing laws to ban minors from social media altogether.

Alphabet agencies are likely upset as it had to be one of their easiest honeypots. Now they'll have to make up new tags so they can freely distribute the materials they supposedly want to rid the world of.

Twitter should absolutely ban minors. They won't ban pornography or any adult content, and they shouldn't have to. This ain't about parents moderating. This is equivalent of a kid going to the movies to watch Avengers and the theatre showing you trailers of explicit porn movies. You can't have a platform that allows minors while, at the same time, allows adult content.

Back then it used to be that we had a bunch of """modelling""" agencies operating straight out of shitholes like Siberia and East Germany making a truckload of this shit. But today? Hell, the kids do it themselves. I can't tell if they're geniuses or retarded. There's probably some 13-year-old out there making more in a weekend using discord than I do in a year of wageslaving.

IIRC, Discord has been quietly nuking those kinds of servers when they are reported. They also mark any other servers that users from the offending server were a part of and sometimes chain ban to be sure. At least when several people report it in. Or someone makes a video on it.

Granted they also do the same to servers that state unfavorable politics, but you take what you can get.
