I can't speak for John, or the bundle of psychosis Phil is now, but with Dusty and Kory, both interactions followed a rough pattern of:
- Friend?
- FRIEND!
- Deity to be worshipped
- Sex partner?
- Rejection!
- Cutting off (Kory denying her characters, Dusty demanding Phil remove his pictures)
- Evil people who must diiiiieeeeeee!!!
 
Man, when I couldn't see the full title I thought the name of the thread would be "Understanding Phil's Retardation".

Anyway, on topic. I'm a believer that Phil feels inadequate, and needs someone to be "below him" so he could feel superior. In this case, CWC is an easy target for him, since CWC is/was the laughing stock of the internet (Though Phil is fast tracking to becoming just that, if he keeps it up). Now, Chris is starting to get a bit better, having a much better situation than Phil. Chris is going out more often, hanging out with lesbians, getting love from his mother, getting money from hawking Sonichu merch. And Phil? Phil gets social security money he blows on tattoos, lives on the streets, has burned what bridges he had to IRL friends as well as slowly isolating himself from his online asspatters, beats his mother, tried to hang out with real trannies only to be shunned by them. Let's face it, he's worse off than CWC. I know we're all trying to decide who will be the next CWC, but that's something that comes with the level of infamy that CWC has amassed. Phil isn't exactly the next CWC, but his state of living and mentality is a lot worse than CWC.

Context within target audience
Lets start with a basic premise
"MMX is a better poster than @Ravenor"
Before you can even form an opinion you first have to know who either party is.
Even within the farms the statment has a limited target audience of people who know either of us and give a shit. People would access pros and cons and eventually reach the decision that @Ravenor is the better poster.
Now remove it one step. Take it outside the farms and post it on facebook or twitter and far less people would know what you were talking about or care. Take it to real life and all context is lost.

When Phil talks shit about Chris on facebook its basically the same as me talking shit about @Ravenor on facebook.
Phils facebook friends (outside troll dummy accounts) dont know who Chris is or much care. They just see a picture of a clearly autistic guy in a dress just blissfully living his life and wonder why phils so fucked off. Chris doesnt affect phil, Chris isnt calling phil out, Chris doesnt even know he exists (well he did but he doesnt remember). Phils friends even pointed out that CWC is a victim and that phil should befriend him in his efforts to take down the farms.
Phil cant even manage to call Chris out as transphobic without reaching A-log levels of transphobia himself.
I cant say 100% certain but shit talking a fellow autistic tranny has likely cost him friends.
We saw similar when phil posted about Kengle being behind our non-existant attempts on his life. People reasonable pointed out Kengle has no authority and is himself a trolling victim so Phil blocked and removed anyone who disagreed.
Its a cycle were Phil trys to win support but only ends up costing him friends, which furthers a one sided rivalry.
Phils target audience is the farms but he chooses to make things very public and ends up creating a contextless situation in which he can only ever look like a bad guy.
Most kiwis dont even really discuss cows outside the farms unless it falls into specfic fields of interest for example DSP in the context of gaming/lets plays, Wu and gamergate or Alison Rapp being news worthy. We know without that all important context it reduces is to mean spirited cyber bullies and fucking weird but phil lacks that awareness and so finds himself in a one sided grudge match.

Sorry I was just rereading this thread and you both hit the nail on the head, but with Phil it's a slightly more complex issue because he's so tied into his sexual fetish as part of his public image, and his obsession with making things part of his identity because it looks good and the litteral hug box effect he get's from some of his toy's.

It's about half way done, but when you start digging into Phil's sexuality things get weird very fast and you start seeing components of it in everything he does or say's, it's a case of what @MMX said a few posts up "Don't stare to long into the tisim, because the tisim will stare back".

Phil is the bargain bin Chinese knock off of Chris, which is ironic since Barb raised Chris on bargain bin knock offs and Goodwill hand-me-downs. He's just the go-bots to Chris' Transformers, the Filmation Ghostbusters to Chris' Real Ghostbusters. And as usual, the rip off version is a quantifiably inferior product.
