Toby's IRL parents are still together, so I don’t know where he got the idea for the pemadivorced parents. A workaholic father and a helicopter mother are the norm for upper middle class New Englanders, nothing out of the ordinary there.

I think he’s really good at writing characters and making you emotionally relate to them, and that’s that.

What is it with WASPY New Englanders from stable families doing this?

Or is this going to be the standard Toby Fox subversion and it turns out she's from a wealthy family, and she's just neglected and maladjusted?

I doubt that. She lives in the shitty apartment building next to the alleyway where Alphys leaves milk for "her cat".

If you try to go near it she refuses to get closer and looks suspiciously around with her hands in her pockets, checking to see if anyone sees her.

In chapter 4, post-church, if you try to click on the door instead of going home she says "Let's go to your house." and "This place is lame."

Between that and her room looking like a crackheads room, I doubt she's very well off. The neglect part is probably true though.

Very relevant since another blog post about Hussie abusing legal threats against people to take negative articles about him off the god damn internet, and subsequently taking the most complete way to read his comic down, dropped. Toby Won.

Only question is how does this affect Hussie potentially being THE RAPED in deltarune?

Actually, I think Temmie just really hates animating walk/run cycles. Go through undertale and deltarune and take a shot of a drink of your choice every time an npc is either totally stationary or just slides around with no animation whatsoever. You'll die of liver failure.

Counterpoint, Starwalker and Queen have the best run cycles.

Thinking about it some more, the most interesting option would be if Susie breaks into the school and crashes at castletown with Ralsei. She has a room there after all. That would even play into her getting more and more attached to the dark worlds, and how devastating it's going to be to her when we have to close them permanently.

Wonder if that's what happened to Dess? Got too attached, went to deep, and got lost in the dark.

For what it’s worth, Temmie did make an actual walk cycle for Lancer but Toby decided to make him slide around because it was funnier.

Both Susie and Kris have an animation for running in a CH4 cutscene. I think the 1 frame walk cycle is just a holdover from Undertale stylistically.
