I think this sums up the whole “Toby Fox is evil for not putting out an official Spanish translation of the game” nothing drama pretty effective.

Damned if you don't elaborate why you won't translate to other languages, damned if you elaborate your autistic mindset of wanting to have perfect translations in the languages you have dominion over.

I learned English as a child thanks to video games and movies. It wasn't hard because I loved gaming and movies, and English is not hard to learn.

If you really want to do something (such as understand what the funny colored characters are saying), you'll be highly motivated to work on it, even unconsciously.

This drama is so faggot-coded, man.

Toby got one look at what localizers do to every Japanese game and show and thought "man my shit is gay, but not THAT gay." I wouldn't want retards molesting my game and claim they're just translating it either. Also if I had to read a tweet saying we can't play the new chapter until it was translated into a dozen languages I would start chimping out, so good job Tricky Tony.

Are those idiot even aware that these same dumb argument can be used for every language in existence. Why spanish will be more important than say, french? Korean? even Chinese which the number of speaker far exceed them.

I mean while they are being giant faggots they aren't wrong really when they say Toby doesn't bother because there are no LatAM auteurs to cozy up to like Sakurai and his beloved Niponese Nintendo old guard.

The way Toby conducts himself in recent years has made that obvious. He literally talks and acts like a Japanese auteur developer. He even emulates the way they communicate in English, imitating the peculiar vernacular and cadance of a sentence translated from Japanese into English. It's kind of faggy and if he could get away with it I think he'd probably not even bother with an English version of Deltarune.

There's literally nothing stopping him from just hiring a couple bilingual autismos, honestly something that should be WAY easier than a Japanese localization anyway, and paying them a pittance for an official translation into Fence Monkey.

I dunno, I can understand wanting to make sure something that is essentially my life’s work is going to be translated perfectly and exactly the way I wanted it to be,

And I ESPECIALLY understand not trusting someone else to do it properly, giving the amount of “localization” that goes around with supposed “professional” translators.

I don't see the difference between letting fans crap out a translation versus hiring someone, who will then answer DIRECTLY to you thus making it even easier to retard wrangle their worst impulses.

If he likes the fan translations so much, he could also just slip the guys who made it a fiver and add the translations as official.

It's retarded autism to not use his many resources to simply crap one out. Or, funnier, he simply doesnt want latinos to engage with his work which is genuinely more respectable in my eyes than wanting to larp as Japanese.

FAN translation vs something that will be seen as OFFICIAL.

He takes what he makes seriously, and I can respect him for it. Even if there’s a decent amount of cringe in the game, it’s his cringe that he cares enough about not to want anyone else to fuck it up.
