Considering the audience his games have, and the absolute shitshow that is JP to EN translation in other games, Toby is definitely in the right to tell fan translators to fuck off.

All translations not written by the original author are fan translations. Toby is just being honest that he doesn't know Spanish, so he can't contribute to the translation, so any resulting translation he pays for is equivalent in every way to a random fan translation he didn't pay for. tl;dr If you want it then do it yourself you lazy ass taco niggers.

I won't powerlevel too much. But I got a ttrpg, the book is only in english and I doubt any translation/localisation will ever happen and if so it will take years. So you know what?
I pick a notebook and started to translate and resume the base gameplay feature so my family can play

...on a more serious note, I'm actually surprised Toby actually gave a response to a nothing burger drama like this, as he usually knows better than to engage in lose/lose situations like this, maybe people implying he didn't care about his fans got to him?

I replayed the game, and saw these lines of dialogue for the first time, so now i have a schitzo theory.
In chapter 3 Kris got undyne involved specifically to undermine the Knight's goal of kidnapping Toriel. Rudy knows this. Considering how likely it is that Carol is working with the knight, Undyne as the current chief of police, is already hanging. Sacrificing her for Toriel is the smart play in this situation. What i'm getting at, is that Rudy knows what Carol is up to, and he's playing Kris against her. If i had to guess why, its because he knows he's dying, and that Carol won't let go of him, in the same way she never let go of Dess.

Here's an idea because Bluesky is full of sensitive individuals because they'd never do that: commission the Fun Gang wearing tactical gear, then slap the ICE logo on it in Photoshop or any image editing app, or better yet, ask AI to edit it! Inevitably this will make some people mad if you're looking to have a bit of a laugh. And even better, say you're 'fixing' it.
