For someone who looks up to Kikiyama, Toby does a terrible job actually keeping up the same mystique. All it requires is that you shut the fuck up or make an alt.
 
It's just different worlds, Japan is inherently privacy focused, Artists only having a presence through a moniker that they could just abandon and disappear is the norm, Kikiyama didn't force his anonymity, it's just a given, the mystique is his service provider not being predatory and then going out of business, shredding all the data, actually the internet is NOT forever.
America is a "Doxxed State" and the normalfag is constantly trying to dox anyone with a moniker, and they will succeed because Roblox and Minecraft knows your name and when you were born and everything is on a yellow page or a random court filing and Facebook and Linkedin catalogued everyone.

For Toby that ship sailed since the Homestuck days, although it would have some mystique if he only existed in that 14 year old youtube video playing the piano. HOWEVER, he would never be truly anonymous "because that's for 4chan freaks like A Wyatt Mann or StoneToss".

Toby Fox and Andrew Hussie were used to just being out there to interact with the fandom, the problem is that the normalfag is not normal anymore and they became moraltrannies turning every irrelevant thing into a chip on their shoulder to lash out at the Artist that feeds them, like a nigger constantly looking for reasons to throw a chair at a Waffle House employee.
 
I dislike Toby Fox. He pretends to be this silly guy whose silly little game unexpectedly became popular, despite the fact that he was already a fairly popular person, working as a lead composer of Homestuck, with connections to many popular Tumblr artists of that time as well as merch companies.

He also pushes his brand into other media franchises by straight up putting Undertale music in them, as it evident with Pokemon and OFF remake demo.

He also downplays other people's involvement in Undertale's and especially Deltarune's development. You have to be a fan to know about Temmie Chang's and Nelnal's very existence.

To be fair, I think it's natural to expect that "known among Homestuck fans for making music for it and friends with some Tumblr artists" wouldn't necessarily lead to "known among even casual gamers worldwide for making a game that sold 10+ million copies and is so popular it has merchandise in mainstream stores and music being played by a large Japanese orchestra."

What are you talking about? Of course the music he makes for one franchise is going to be reminiscent of what he makes for another franchise. Going by that logic, he’s “straight up” putting Homestuck music in everything since that’s where he got his start.

That’s just completely false. The only part of the credits of both games where he’s even mentioned is on the first page while everything else is about other people. He constantly talks about other people’s contributions to Deltarune to the point of having spotlight interviews with other devs to talk about what they did. These are really bizarre things to complain about.
