Undertale

pronouns shittery was probably necessary to prevent him getting canceled or some shit.

Also to be fair, he does seem to like leaving the gender of player characters ambigous.
Toby is very clearly on the left side of the political spectrum he directly donated and encouraged others to do so to bail funds of the riots on BLM plus worked on homestuck prior to undertale he most definitely believes in troonery and pronouns shittery wholeheartedly.
That being said what's important is that he doesn't seem to be using undertale/deltarune as a dull vehicle to his hot political takes so far

Eh, I don't care, My problem with trans people aint the gender or pronouns thing, its that the majority of them (or the loud minority?) are fucking assholes.

Same with a lot of other left leaning stuff really, I agree in principle, but goddamn so many of them are just raging cunts.

Long as he keeps integrity and doesn't turn his game into nothing but hot takes i can take an occasional cringe romance.

If you inspect the clipboard at the police station it shows a picture of Asgore and mentions

Probably related to why Toriel left him, and considering their undertale versions split because Asgore kept killing the children that would fall down it could very well mean something similar happened that kicked Asgore from the police and made Toriel dump his ass.
The reason is kept vague is because either
>Will become plot relevant later
>Its gonna be teased as something very important and then revealed to be super mundane and Toriel was just tired of him

Any of the 2 is possible with the way Toby writes
….wasn’t it heavily implied that something really bad happened to Noelle’s sister?

Yeah it could be related to Noelle, not sure what other tragedies are spoken in passing but i guess Noelle sister is the most apparent as of chapter 2

It's really hard to tell whether it's all honest. He could currently have doubts about the safeness of troonery or the validity of BLM but he really couldn't take a stance without diverting unnecessary drama to himself. He's not a political podcast host, he's a video game dev. If he alienates his audience then he essentially loses money and connections he can use to further his career.

What I'm trying to say is that Toby Fox is playing it smart and that I don't really get the same vibes as I do from other left-wing game devs, such as the lovely people who made Life is Strange.

I get the feeling he isn't really all that political overall. Sure, as evidenced by his games, he believes in some values like tolerance and pacifism, but they don't really seem to be forced into his works for the sake of having them or presented in a partisan sort of way, they're there because it's what the story's about. You'd be hard-pressed to find any sort of political statement from him, besides maybe the BLM one, but that was a big event and practically everyone was making a statement then - not to mention, he simply says he stands against "police brutality" and "racism" (it'd be hard to find someone who supports either of those things) and makes no statements about the BLM movement itself nor the George Floyd incident. The worst you could say about that tweet was that one of the sites he linked to donate was to one of those bail funds, but most of the sketchy things those organizations did only happened a while after that tweet was made. Besides retweeting a post from HumbleBundle (which was about a bundle that Undertale was part of, so he would've retweeted anyway), he kind of shut up about the whole thing afterwards.
To me, he just seems like a down-to-earth guy who doesn't really care about if a person is gay or muslim or whatever the hell, but also doesn't get caught up in weird activism nor does he let politics take over his life, he probably cares more about the values he believes in than any parties or movements or stupid stuff like that and doesn't care who you are or what you believe in as long as you're not going around being mean.

It's been a while since I went through Undertale, but she left him because he's a coward. At any point, Asgore could have taken one soul, left through the barrier and found 6 more souls so he could shatter the barrier. He decided to wait and hope helpless people fell in to die while letting all of the monsters grow depressed and lose all hope of freedom. She didn't like the killing of kids to get out, but she was more upset that Asgore would rather wait it out than embrace his horrible actions.
I think Toriel is a fucking idiot for that line of reasoning. Either he raids hospitals to take SOULs from recently deceased patients or he has to murder people and risk rekindling humanity's hate for monsters.

Toriel wasn’t actually wanting him to go do it. She was just pointing out his overall cowardness of , after promising monsters he would do what it takes to free them, his in his castle and only attacked humans if they ended up wandering in, because then he didn’t have an excuse not to take the Souls as promised. Basically a “if I say I’m going to do it, but don’t actively pursue it, my hands are clean” only for an actual human to wander by and him go “ah, fuck….”

I'm pretty sure he does support this kind of thing but he's smart enough to not smear his work with it. He associates with some pretty strange characters.
Even the first Chapter of Deltarune has a piece of music from the developers "pillow fight" who are a team of RenPy modders that make thinly veiled political propaganda.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned yet just how much like Moviebob he is. His whole opening speech in the roller coaster battle is about making a utopia of smart people where all the lowly dumb fools will serve the intelligent.
I noticed that too haha. I think everyone got distracted by the snowgrave reveal.

Now is it more cancerous than the 5NAF fandom was?
I'd say they were once on equal footing but has calmed down slightly. You don't see as much MS Paint art on places like DA anymore at least. Can't say the same about fetish art but that's a given for any series nowadays. The Deltarune side is... slightly less cancerous for now unless you go on Furaffinity.

I believe Ralsei is just actively preventing us in turning Kris into a murderhobo. Susie as the monster companion was pretty convenient for him, not only cuz She's the equivalent of a disobedient pokémon sometimes, but can't bring herself to actually kill anyone.
