Just noticed that in the part where you spell december with Noelle, her sprite turns into her as a little kid for a few moments (but not Kris’). Cute detail, disregard if it’s been posted before though.
I’m really interested in Dess and Noelle’s backstory. And I wonder if the december/25th of December thing is just a Haha christmas reindeer funny or if something did happen that month. Damm I can’t deal with waiting another 3 years (:_(

I did a genocide run as my first play through of Chapter 2, and I was pissed that I couldn't fully kill Berdly, or access Spamton NEO. Then I found out about Snowgrave, and was kinda upset that my playthrough was invalidated because I didn't go through some super obscure steps involving freezing enemies. But I'm glad I was actually able to kill Berdly in the end.

Noelle likes giving people nicknames, and everyone in her family has more Christmasy full first name (Rudy in the hospital is Rudolph.) Dess is probably short for her sister's actual name, December.

Dess is likely a shortened version of December

I remember I read a youtube comment theorizing that Dess could've disappeared during the time all of them were playing around the woods. If she disappeared or was killed, it might explain why Asgore was forced to resign from the force, since Dess is the daughter of the mayor. The only thing I thought the commenter was grasping at straws at was that Dess could possibly be the person speaking in the code of the game, since she could have ended up in the abandoned bunker (which could be a possible dark world entry point). I'm not sure if she will be THAT important of a character, but something about her is going to play a significant role with Noelle, I wager.

I really don't want to wait 3 more years either for the next part. I'm really intrigued by what's going on, and want to see what happens.

Every time I ran into a locked door, I just immediately thought “future Dark World”.

I really hope the Dark world is somehow connected to Dess/her death/disappearance. I loved the creepy secret lab part of Undertale, finding out Alphy’s failed experiments and Flowey’s birth, so I hope we get to explore whatever’s up with Dess in a similar way.
Noelle, with her Snowgrave route and missing sis, has so much potential.
Not to be edgy but I love the darker parts of these games, they’re usually so goofy so they hit way harder

I'm honestly the same. I really loved the secret lab in Undertale. It was so creepy compared to the rest of the game. It was jarring, but I loved it. I do hope we get more snippets of creepy in Deltarune as well. The basement really my skin crawl, especially once I found out about the secret hidden faces in there.
