I like Undertale a lot, but I may fear that it's gotten somewhat old already. The fandom's edginess is pretty overbearing. I think a sequel could freshen things up.

didn't toby fox go on record saying a direct sequel wasn't something he was going to do?
another game in the same universe, but perhaps with another set of characters might be on possible

Found this pretty awesome fan animatiom(spoilers for Genocide)

After watching this, I really REALLY wish this was a fight in the game. Even though the only reason we have bosses in Genocide is because
Sans is a slippery bastard and Undyne has natural determination.

Undertale 2: Electric Boogaloo could suck for all I care, if it pops out another Toby-original 101 song soundtrack then I'll be satisfied with it. Hopefully with the massive success the first game had commercially, he might actually have a team for another game, or atleast the money for one.

I think a sequel would ruin the original games quality imo. Where else could you go with the storyline? and more importantly, there's huge, huge shoes to fill at that point because Undertale proved itself to be so good.

Its possible, sure, but looking at everything we got here, I wish Toby Fox the best of luck on his future endeavors.

I think Undertale was a good experience, but people overhype it way too much. I find it ends up just driving people off, because people either spaz out and spoil everything or they just endlessly hype it up to points where a new player will end up underwhelmed by the experience.

The best part was the music - the story was touching if a bit preachy at times, and all most of the pacifist stuff was was simply just 'survive longer than normal'. Also, painfully short - but it was cheap as shit so whatever for that.

Two things I'd like is more Toby (still have trouble thinking of him as anything other than Radiation, honestly) music, and similar gameplay, albeit better developed and with higher overall difficulty. The whole 'bullet-hell-esque' thing it had going on was pretty great, and I can appreciate an rpg trying something to spice up combat.
