Imagine the "people" working on this
The only things I'm looking forward to are Hardmode and the reimplementation of the console exclusives, everything else is whatever.
Also I can confirm anyone who "mods" undertale is a dilating tranny niggerfaggot who probably goons to child porn (see Undertale: Bits and Pieces creator)

Meh, there are dozens (if not hundreds) of undertale fangames and mods in development by trannies, underages, and underage trannies, with the usual tranny and underage discord drama and autistic infighting.

On the top of my mind the Undertale Blue team for instance imploded over autistic infights and retarded drama

The only undertale fangame I will ever respect is Undertale Yellow, that one is legit

What's different about it?
I recommend playing it. It's really well written and made. I sent it to a couple friends of mine and told them that the prequel to undertale came out and they didn't know until I told them that it wasn't official and was fanmade.

You're welcome to play it and judge it for yourself: https://gamejolt.com/games/UndertaleYellow/136925

The bullet hell stages in fights are creative and challenging, there's absolutely zero woke trash and LGBT crap, the characters aren't le edgy tumblr OCs like most other undertale fangames, and the music is good (not as good as Toby's, but still good)

Moray is Non-binary. I remember that sticking out to me when I played it a year ago. It's obvious when they do that shit in games cause characters have to dance around with using "they" while they refer to everyone else as "he/she".
Is that the bird? I'm pretty sure in the few pieces of fanart I've seen Moray is generally depicted as female.

At the same time most of the fanbase don't give a shit about the overdrawn susie x noelle storyline except the minority of tumblr dykes, some of which push Toby.
My main gripe is that playing Deltarune as an adult is kinda awkward when a good chunk of the game is highschoolers talking about their romantic dramas. It seems almost every part of Chapter 2 is centered around shipping in one way or the other, and when you're 23 and Susie starts gushing about how sweet and awesome Noelle is and asking "btw, which person are you going to go to the festival with?" and you have to choose between 3 different characters... I just feel a bit out of place you know.

I dunno, Deltarune makes me feel that I should play this game as a dating sim sometimes, even though I just want to have my "quirky earthbound-inspired RPG adventure with the boys!". Not to say that I don't enjoy the overworld segments where I do act like a 15-16 year old, but I swear Mr. Fox, you making this game's dialogue a bit too weird for someone that's over the target audience's age like me.

Well, this person over the target audience's age wouldn't mind if these chapters didn't take more than 7 YEARS TO BE MADE, but I digress.

Niggas barely in middle school when Chapter 1 came out would be in college (and by extension, be able to use the Farms) by now.

Let that sink in.

I can't help but wonder what exactly is the reason for it taking this long.

Cuphead, an indie game where everything is meticulously hand-drawn and animated frame by frame made by 2 dudes with no prior experience took less time to develop than a mere fraction of deltarune, and it released as a complete finished product with no early access bullshit, one of the best and most polished indie games of all time.

Compare that to deltarune. Is it a lack of resources? Hell no, writer's block? Toby already knows the ending to the game, it came to him in a fever dream before he even made undertale... I know making games is hard but come on, seriously? He could at least give a reason as to why it's so slow

From what I'm to understand it's a few reasons

1)Toby keeps a small team for some reason

2)During Covid, apparently Toby has wrist issues and wasn't able to get surgery for a while, which stopped him from doing things, which compounds onto 1

3)There's stories floating around that Toby writes the music for stuff before actually doing all the programming and stuff, which compounds the previous 2 issues.

I feel like Toby probably micromanages every little detail to make sure it sticks to his vision.

Reflecting a bit, I guess Toby doesn't have any REAL reason to rush things does he?

If he wanted, he could retire with the amount of money he gets from Undertale and still live a very comfortable life. If that somehow doesn't pay the bills, he still can offer to write music for basically any game around the world.

Also most of the fans don't seem to care about the slow progress, and young people are still being introduced to Undertale almost every day...

Deltarune will be a game for when Gen Alpha goes to highschool, and I guess we can't do anything about it.
