From what I understand is that Kris has always been an out place loner weirdo who maybe has trouble expressing himself. I don't think he's an asshole who likes shitting on people, it's more like he's a dick who likes fucking with people. He's clearly loyal to those he considers a friend.

Been forced to be his friend since they were kids. I assume all the pranks he pulled on her were like something akin to that cliche of kids 'messing with their crush'. She even mentions Kris is the one of the few people she can be honest with. Seriously crashes the fuck out when we jeopardize that friendship by 100% hardcore brutally raping her.

At the start he's not too keen on him since I think you can actively be a dick to Ralsei and Kris doesn't try to stop you. The Ralsei Tea heals him the lowest amount of the teas. This is all probably because Ralsei looks like Asriel which is a bit awkward for him. But then he seems to have warmed up to him in chapter 3-4, whenever you try to be a dick to him he actively stops you. Like covering his mouth at 'not' when you pick 'of course not'.
Susie:
Fuck, you see how they act together. They're both misunderstood loners. They're both the same kind of moss eating weird. We as the soul don't have control of Kris during cutscenes and when he sees her in danger at Card Castle he immediately jumps in to save her.

He trips after putting the soul probably because he's in pain and you can't live without a heart (heh), it wouldn't make sense he's still pretending after the gist is up. Nevertheless, fair enough. I dunno why he was pretending to be a zombie if he's more agile than players expected, as that's info you can't use in any way. I believe he doesn't like Carol and/or the Knight and wants you to know that, seeing he left the phone on "hands-free" mode.

He's a guy and he'll naturally be less of an ass to the girls he likes, for one reason or another. It's just that in the Weird route the Soul somehow is stronger than Kris' will, instead of the other way around.

I also don't believe we literally SA'd the doe, but I do believe the rape undertones of that scene were very intentional. Specially considering how "romantic" chapter 2's weird route was (things like saying "We're more than friends", saying we're gonna ride the ferris wheel with Noelle, giving her a literal ring, etc.)

So yeah, I do believe the deflowering was a good symbolism carried from chapter 2, but has no literal meaning on what happened. Toby probably changed it not because it was unintentional, he changed it because his fans are so immature that they can't take any type of sexual abusive undertone without sperging about it, even if it was all just symbolic.

You know, I wonder if Kris suddenly pulling X-Slash out of his ass when he's all alone in Snowgrave is proof that this entire time he's been a LOT stronger than the other party members and has just been hiding it to fuck with the player. Like, how much damage does Rude Buster do against Spamton, like 200? X-Slash deals 500. It also sounds similar to the Knight's sword slashing attacks, if you'll excuse my schizo.
Hell, even his "downed" pose is the same pose he takes when he's pretending to be hurt after you beat the Knight, too, so we can't even trust that to be accurate!

Even with the knight fight in mind I think they were still holding back against them. I think that in Snowgrave, vs Spamton, Kris wasn't holding back AT ALL.
Snowgrave Kris almost certainly fucking hated Spamton for facilitating fucking his friend up, and as a result showcased far better healing than Ralsei, and far better damage output than Susie in the solo fight.
Kris seems to prefer not to take center stage it seems, but the Snowgrave NEO fight proves to me at least that they're a great deal stronger than the rest of the party.

Which sorta leads on to the sort of super schizo theory I'm developing that this isn't the first time that the prophecy has played out at all, and that Kris may well have been through it all before, possibly with Dess and Asriel.
We know at least that Ralsei's prophecy is a lie. "A human, a monster, and a prince from the dark" where in reality it's "The Cage, with Human Soul and Parts" (can only be Kris), "Second, the girl with hope crossed on her heart" (Susie, possibly Dess (Dess wields a sword if she's the knight, Susie has an axe, if it was Susie, why would the prophecy be wrong about her weapon?) .
Love finds its way to the Girl (Possibly Dess again, but LOVE making her the Knight?)
"And third, the Prince, alone in deepest dark" (Built up to make you think it is Ralsei, also can also apply to Asriel as well, as at the end of Undertale, Asriel is left all alone in the underground.
And then last was the girl (Noelle)?

Mostly just schizoposting here, but Kris making the Dark Fountains means that he's got a lot of experience with the Dark World prior to any interaction with Ralsei.
I'm almost starting to believe that Asriel didn't go to college after all, but is somehow trapped in a Dark World, and people are just lying to Kris to try to make him feel better.

Kris is geniunely my favourite character so far, to the point where when I pick an option he actively doesn't fuck with I reloaded to choose one he does fuck with.
Example, after the Spamton fight. Susie asks if you're alright, you can pick 'Yes' or 'No'. He's strains himself really fucking hard to say 'yes', so much so the others point it out.
If you say 'no' he starts shouting out of fear.
Which to me is interesting in and of itself to me. Why exactly was Kris freaking the fuck out?
Does Spamtons meta commentary creep him the fuck out because he know why Spamton is like that? Or is it because he realises we're autistic enough to uncover every little secret in the game?

IMO, Kris was freaking out because a lot of what Spamton said hit close to home. It's sort of the first one, but not quite.

If it's anything like how Undertale worked with Determination, it could be a matter of him having enough determination to keep going. We know that Souls can naturally generate Determination from Undertale, and that with enough Determination, even inanimate objects like flowers can come to life. (This feels sort of relevant towards the whole existence of Darkners, now that I think about it)
It's possible that Kris is somehow building up Determination from the Heart through it being inside of him, and can operate better on his own because the soul has been inside of him for longer.

I don't think the shadow mantle was something in the house. The theory that the shadow mantle was the cloak King was wearing was never disproven.

Unrelated, my current schizo Gaster theory: He's doing perfectly fine, chilling as Sans's house with Papyrus, and when we finally meet him, he'll have no idea why we're so excited. Same thing as Mike -- Undertale Gaster got screwed, but this isn't the Undertale timeline.
