Wish You Were here is better than Darkside and The Wall.

Also, Twenty One Pilots is fantastic. And it came out in this century! Whoa!

WYWH was also short and wasn't like a singular long ass song
I would put WYWH as my favorite PF album, but darkside is a very very close second, the wall is okay but half of the songs i don't care about
speaking of darkside, the cover version by flaming lips and others just is horrible

Alter Bridge is pretty much Creed with a more mentally stable singer.

I heard a bit of Creed's first album back in the 90s and liked it, I remember thinking some songs sounded like an interesting mix of Iron Maiden and grunge. I like Tremonti too.

When Linkin Park got big, (I was about 16) I absolutely hated them and thought all their fans were idiots..I felt like the US alternative rock/metal scene had betrayed me in a way. I'd gotton into bands like Korn, Deftones, Pantera and Marilyn Manson who seemed genuinely weird and twisted and not afraid to be shocking and angry. And Linkin Park seemed like the music biz were taking that world I'd found and making it diluted and family-friendly. But now I keep hearing their classic songs on the radio and not minding them.

Oasis was playing in the supermarket this lunchtime when I popped in to grab some stuffs. "Wonderwall" specifically.

I hate Oasis. I can't understand how anyone could possibly like that dull, dirgey, whining, nasal horse-diarrhoea. The same applies to all Britpop, for that matter.
Blur and Pulp were the best of britpop in my opinion, although the band Gorillaz that was formed later by Blur's Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett was better.

Talking of Britpop I don't really get the obsession some people have with Radiohead, they had a few good songs like Creep but most the songs are like you described and come acorss as pretentious and trying to sound sad and deep and the same with Coldplay which I dont think is as popular in the US but are pretty big here, Viva La Vida is a fun song but they are mostly boring, I'm not sure how 'Unpopular' those views are though, probally not very.

I can't stand Melanie Martinez. I don't think she'll have a solid music career with this cutesy alt-girl nonsense. Imagine a 40-year-old doing this.*sigh*

I think some of her music's pretty good (Soap, Sippy Cup, Carousel) but some of it is pretty stupid too (Training Wheels, Mad Hatter). I do agree, the cutesy act won't hold up. If she wants to continue her career, she should change it up.

More on-topic:
I think twenty one pilots and the 1979 is trash. I tried to listen to both bands, really, I did, but they just suck.

Progressive Rock bores me and Twenty-one Pilots is... disappointing. Also, according to MTV, they're a "RAWK BANDE." Being this triggered isn't healthy m'kay? Calm down, Dearie; it's just opinion.

I'm not really a fan of Pantera. I said this in another thread, but I used to be huge into Marilyn Manson, but now I think his music takes itself way too seriously, and comes off as too "I'm So Fucking EDGY".
Agree 100%. He's just a tryhard lord of darkness.

-St. Anger is one of my favourite Metallica records
-I like metalcore and post hardcore bands
-Red Hot Chili Peppers are just an extremely overplayed band
-Avenged Sevenfold is fucking awesome

I think Metallica's first three albums are overrated. I don't understand why those albums are like the holy grail or something for most people who are into metal. The songs are decent, but I personally find most of them pretty boring. I have always wanted to like them, but I just can't.
I don't like their later albums either, obviously. I very much prefer Megadeth, Accept and Mercyful Fate.

Don't know if this is an unpopular view, but I don't understand the appeal of classical singing e.g. opera.
