Untitled Hideous Kojimbo project in development - Death Stranding 2?

No dude, like, Abandoned is totally MGS V Chapter 3! Kojima is going to reveal that the past 6 years have been a long con and Big Boss was always the true hero and he never really left Konami!
right now, they're like 'the counter evidence against the theory is not convincing enough. i need more definitive proof.'

The only person who is attached to the project has repeatedly made it clear and made several announcements to explicitly deny any relationship. but that's apparently insufficient to these people - because they have already decided internally that this is a big studio in disguise, and they should be able to produce more convincing proof.

it's so dumb.

MGS, or I guess Kojima in general, may be the only thing i'm a fan of but equally embarrassed by the core fanbase and shit like this is why. Kojima isn't that big brained of a guy. People figured out you'd be playing as Big Boss in MGS 3 because in an early trailer certain letters were capitalized spelling out BIG BOSS. People figured out almost immediately the mysterious Phantom Pain was MGSV because Kojima and his crew all wore shirts with the fake "Moby Dick Studio" logo on it. He does little things to get people talking and while that could be labeled as smart the things themselves not so much.

I know I revived this thread, but here's some news regarding Kojima Productions.

‘Death Stranding’ Developer Kojima Productions Launches TV & Film, Music Division

Kojima Productions, the Death Stranding and developer helmed by Hideo Kojima, is branching out with a new division focused on music, TV and film.

On Monday the video game company shared on Twitter that it will open a new business division based in Los Angeles. The newly-added branch seeks to bring the studios’ games to other entertainment areas. PlayStation vet Riley Russell will lead the new team.

“The new division will be tasked with working with creative and talented professionals in television, music and film, as well as the more familiar games industry,” says Russell to Games Industry.

“The team has as its charter, the goal of expanding the reach and awareness of the properties now under development at Kojima Productions, and to make them even more a part of our popular culture. Although we are a global organization, the new business development team will be centred in Los Angeles, CA. We are truly excited and looking forward to working with the very best entertainment talent we can, across all of the entertainment industries.”

Even before the launch of the new entertainment-focused branch, Kojima Productions has already crossed paths with major Hollywood names. The Walking Dead alum Norman Reedus starred in Kojima’s 2019 game Death Stranding, which earned him a best performance honor at the 2019 Game Awards. Death Stranding also featured Guillermo Del Toro, Margaret Qualley, Mads Mikkelsen and Léa Seydoux.

Last year Deadline learned exclusively that a movie based on Hideo Kojima’s Metal Gear Solid is in the works at Sony with Oscar Isaac set to star as protagonist Solid Snake himself.

As many have predicted, Kojima will release 13 episodes of the chick who played Quiet just taking a shit on a rug and people will call it groundbreaking, genius and analyze the shit out of it.

Plenty of people figured out the twist to MGS V a year and a half early when Ground Zeroes released because he literally just pitched Keifer Sutherlands voice slightly lower for the medic. Yet hardcore fanboys would argue it couldn't be true. It was crazy.

Kojimas hardcore fanboys are, funny enough, completely fucking retarded. They're the types who are both terminally online and get their information about the world from Anime. It's the only reason they think Kojima is such a genius and they think MGS is some sort of pinnacle of writing/storytelling.

The amount of obvious shit I've seen leaked or straight up shown in promotional material that they refuse to believe will be real (Big Boss being the protagonist of MGS3, Big Boss being alive in MGS4, Venom Snake being the medic, Man on Fire/the child being Volgin/Mantis, etc. etc.) because "Kojima wouldn't do the obvious/same thing twice!" but then come up with absolutely stupid theories such as "Solid and Liquid Snake will join Diamond Dogs because in the trailer there is a shot of TWO Liquids! Snake probably just didn't remember Liquid during the Shadow Moses briefing!" (legit something I saw in 2015) has lead me to believe that they have to straight up have mental deficiencies.

Every Kojima fan I've ever met has been usually adverse or in denial about being an anime fan. Or am I talking about MGS fans?

I don't know how someone can enjoy MGS and not be an anime fan at this point.

Of course, I've never met an actual Kojima fanboy IRL. All my interactions have been online. Maybe there are normal fans out there and I just don't see them?

I've also pretty much abandoned the entire community/fanbase for the past 3 or 4 years now so maybe there has been a change.

My hypothesis is that most fans I've come across have either watched Arin Hanson's "Metal Gear Awesome" series or try to ape Snake's reactions to Otakon's anime hobby exposition. My only encounter with an MGS fan irl was at a local game store, where it was this socially awkward behaving offline Internet Tough Guy who came into the shop and asked the cashier if they had anything related to MGS3: Snake Eater Subsistence, and when the cashier politely said they didn't, he didn't even say thank you or respond back when he immediately turned back around and left. The other was with a hardcore sci fi nerd who autisically made pages on his website about why he didn't like anime while with another section devoted to showing the photograph of the lego Metal Gear REX that Kojima signed, before a later checkup from me saw that he became a hardcore brony.

I'm sure that the whole anime fan boom thing happened probably after Revengence, but in my experience, it's always been the egotistical hobby tossing fans thinking that liking MGS will make them cool or respected or something. It's probably the whole "omg MGS has real world settings and hardcore facts and military get ups, it's just like muh Call of Duties and it's so hardcore and reeeellll" thing that was going on around the late 2000s with gamer fags on that end of the spectrum. Those kinds of nerds were always the ones planting "No Fun Allowed" online back in the day as a way to shit on everyone else's parade.
