US planes around Iran are active, idk maybe we should have a megathread for Iran/flightwatch stuff

I dunno man that looks pretty normal to me. Kandahar, Ali al Salem and Tikrit. Do you have a reason to believe this is abnormal?
I'm not familiar with what is and isn't normal with regards to this and people seemed to think it was abnormal so I thought it was worth posting

Ah ok. Yea I think it's normal. If the Air Force has something stirring they're not going to have it appearing on easily available commercial websites.

The 3 marked planes are tankers operating outside Iranian airspace the planes they're refuelling obviously have transponders off. I'm sure there are quite a few in the US military that would love to have Iran shoot down a tanker outside of Iranian airspace.

Yea but there are always tankers operating around US air bases, remember a while ago that KC-135 crashed leaving Manas? It's routine for them to be around. I'm not even convinced that the aircraft on this screenshot are tankers, a K35 is not a tanker unless that's how it's abbreviated in this display.

I would imagine that everyone is on elevated alert today because tomorrow will be the anniversary of Soleimani's death. If we are seeing increased AF activity, which I'm sure that there is, it's to deter Iran from launching an attack rather than posturing for an unprovoked strike on Iran.

the us will be dropped into a proxy war with either Iran or Syria in order to distract from various things and Rev up the war machine.
There has been a LOT of foreshadowing of this in the news, as well as Russia Bad. Note also that the brief swell of China Bad articles has stopped now that the Dems are headed to the WH and they need to keep the Chinese happy.

All stratotankers probably is just posturing since they're pulling aircraft carrier out of the region. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/worl...-east-to-de-escalate-iran-tension/ar-BB1cpVwG

Perhaps in the US, but with the rest of the US' allies/lapdogs, it's business as usual with regular front-page spreads on whatever evil thing China's doing today.

As a more recent example I can recall, a couple days ago the ABC (Australian) tried to make it seem like China had sent underwater glider drones into 'waters significant to Australia'. In reality, it was a fisherman in Indonesia who had discovered the drone in Indonesian waters.

The SMH ran a rather snazzy piece on how the CCP's issued a directive straight from the top to suppress publication of all material regarding the origin of Covid-19.

Generally, international media is commentating on the murkiness of Biden's stance on China. There may be international pressure influencing his actions.

Right, but Chinese Communists are the greatest malign force on our planet since World War II and should be named, shamed and attacked at every possible turn. There is nothing redeeming about the Chinese Communist Party and they are our enemy and trying to destroy our way of life.

The best (worst) part is you could be be talking about so many countries when talking about them being "our" enemy and trying to destroy "our" way of life.
They are evil.
