I've met a lot of oriental asians, especially koreans for some reason, who are true christians that walk the walk and seem to genuinely believe but i've never met an indian who did.

I knew an Indian parish priest (Latin Catholic variety IIRC, not one of the St Thomas Christians) back in the mid-2010s, a couple years before the Indian hate train left the station to really start running over jeets. Nice enough guy but the subject of Modi/Hindutva would turn him into what I can only describe as the Indian version of a frothing-at-the-mouth pagan-hating medieval Teutonic Knight from Prussia/Livonia. Persecution of Christians in India is bad enough that even Wikipedo had to write a reasonably long article about it.

As far as I understand it, Hindu nationalists like Modi fucking hate Christianity & Christians because they're terrified of common Indian people converting in increasing numbers to try to get away from the shitty rat races, caste system, concept of izzat, etc. that avthentic Indo-Aryan tradition imposes. Also Christ redeems and you know how much jeets fucking hate redeeming.

Correct. His party is very pro-Hindu and there are hundreds of reported attacks on Christians in India every year. It's been getting steadily worse the last 5 years.

Narendra Modi is squarely aligned with the BJP, a Hindu-nationalist political party. Anyone who isn't a Hindu, be they Christian, Muslim, Jew, Jain, Buddhist, Sikh, or even a dissenting or otherwise "obscure" Hindu (i.e. Shaivite Hindus), has a bone to pick with the BJP. Even before Modi's rise to power, the Union Government had a really irksome habit of professing religious plurality whilst doubling down on Hindu nationalism in practice. Before the BJP's boot was on the heel of all religious minorities, it was the Indian National Congress.

This is a subject that will likely be studied in the future. The Clintons spent the 2000's trying to orient the party towards Hillary, then she flubbed in 2008. They tried it again in 2015-2016, only to produce Trump. A lot of people don't realize how many Obama acolytes were from the Clinton-era.

The Democratic machine seriously thought they'd make an example of Trump after his first term, but all they did was make him see just how evil they really are and steel his resolve to destroy them so they couldn't do it to anyone else. It is the kind of thing you usually only see in fantasy and sci-fi novels, the evil forces creating their own nemesis through their arrogant cruelty.

Hey, it's not their fault they don't read warning signs or appear to have any sense of self-preservation instilled in them at any age. Dive headfirst into every pool of water, walk on busy streets and train tracks, blow compressed air up the new guy's ass, no worries!

That said I wonder how much of their disregard for safety is undergirded with "eh I'll reincarnate as something better, who cares?"
