He’s going to quickly realize he does not have the political capital that he thinks he does. Most of his political gains have been because of riding Trump’s coattails, and he’s soured most left and right wingers since then due to his various stances. He’s only going to appeal to lolberts for the most part, and lolberts as it is have very little political representation in Congress. Elon can throw as much money as he wants at this party he’s creating, but that won’t guarantee a large enough following to make a difference in the voting booth. He’s yet again overestimating his ability, and will likely rage quit once his party has its first roadblock. It took MAGA years to solidify its political power, and I doubt Elon has the patience for his own party.

If Musk wants to not be a total asshole to the right-wing (who welcomed and tolerated him despite his autism) he could try running in middle class/somewhat affluent high-tax Democrat states in the New England area (Delaware) or California where he might receive the most backing from the local elites and is least likely to fuck over Republicans in the process.
