I'm guessing because he doesn't, at least not regularly. If I almost never draw outside of being asked to on the spot, "I don't even draw" would be a pretty fair defense. I don't think there are very many examples of Trump drawing sketches on his messages to people so obviously he would think that's really strange and zero in on it on top of it sounding nothing like how he speaks.
