That would be the biggest loss suffered by the US aside from the Afghanistan conflict. Not to mention that the control of all semiconductor work would now be China’s in short order. This does not bode well for the world.

What's starting to be sad is seeing a new wave of TDS sprout up, even Ace of Spades seems to be getting it now (read the comments). It's not even a feeling of real TDS like the left gets, it's this utter denial of why people like El Naranja.
If you run Desantis, what are you going to do, try the super retarded "win Virginia" strategy and just forsake the rust belt? You can barely win if you get VA and AZ/GA aren't corrupt and still rigged against you, but no way Desantis wins anything midwest except Ohio, and probably just.

Yeah pushing DeSantis might have worked in 2016 but it is such a delusional take it doesn't hold any water at all. DeSantis has NO advantages over Trump. The people whom are meant to be "persuaded" into voting R because of DeSantis and who won't vote R for Trump are a tiny sliver of the centrist vote that might not even exist outside of delusional polls and the dreams of RINOs stuck in 2006. Pushing DeSantis loses far more support in hard MAGA votes than it could ever get.
And of course there is the fact that the MSM and TPTB are not the perfectly aligned and well oiled machine they like to pretend they are, but in fact a dysfunctional set of ideologues, progressives pretending to be neolibs, neolibs pretending to be progressives, commies and all else. There are entire subsets of loyal NPCs already in full attack mode against Florida Man and gleefully spreading the news that he is literally just younger Orange Man, which further guarantees that pushing DeSantis only means swapping Trump for someone with virtually all the weaknesses and none of the strengths.
The GOP is simply too commited to their NeoCon grift. They have too much of a good deal going on being the designated bad guy who pushes all the tax cuts for corporations and destroy the possible competition to want to change.
As it stands, Trump is the only man who can be trusted to try and solve things. He has the retard strenght to push it around. He might be the only man who could get away with actually pushing a reform to try and salvage shit like Social Security.
It will be a very painful decade, no matter what.

It's the same attempt at gaslighting people that they do when they talk about "Being white" in a negative way. When cornered they'll lie right to your face by saying that they mean white culture (they also claim that whites have no culture in another breath) is bad (which is somehow not racist if you do some Olympic level mental gymnastics in an attempt to believe it.) I'm by no means a feminist or a believer in the idea that women in the west have it so hard, but they even veil genuine misogyny this way by dressing things up as "(White) women bad because (thing.)"
Everyone knows they're lying but there's rarely ever social consequences outside of a slap on the wrist (usually not even that though.)

Going to have to look at apoliticals that have no understanding of current politics or history. They're in the worst camp for politics aside from the obvious name; they don't feel all that strongly in the first place AND don't have the memory to remember who screwed them over. They contain fuzzy, vague thoughts about issues, don't know why issues happened, and have devoted themselves into not having a moral stance of any kind. These people are useless and they chose to be.

He attracts Neo-Conservatives who want watered down Trump rhetoric and people who are "tired" of Trump, think he has too much baggage or are just too disappointed with his previous term as president.
Effectively he acts as a establishment counterweight to the more unpredictable Donald. The biggest issue as a politician he seems to have is his lack of charisma and his general aloofness to even his donors. DeSantis does have his wannabe Jacqueline Kennedy wife and staff though so maybe that could help him in some way.
