Ok. In college there was a group of goth chicks who would do that on the weekends. For that reason I always just associate drinking Robitussin with goth chicks so I wasn't sure.

Anyway, is that something people lose their law licences for? Are you sure you are going to lose it? I know a number of lawyers who have had some pretty serious drug and alcohol issues and somehow seem to keep practicing at some pretty high profile firms. Is there an appeal process or some kind of probationary thing where you can join a program or do some outpatient rehab or something?
 
Yeah, I'm kinda intrigued by what all actually went down in that 3 week period.

If you had a legit medical emergency, you shouldn't be fired from your job because of it, and in fact there should be legal protections for that sort of thing... unless Blinski did some other stuff that we aren't aware of. Doing drugs/alcohol by itself shouldn't endanger your law degree; I've known of lawyers who had to go to rehab for alcohol and/or cocaine addictions but afterwards they still were able to practice law.

Of course this isn't my speciality, so I'm just speculating.

I was conditionally admitted to the Minnesota Bar just recently, due to past alcoholism. Taking DXM broke the terms of my conditional admission agreement, specifically the term banning all use of "mood-altering substances." Yes, many lawyers are alcoholics and drug addicts, but this will usually never come to the attention of the Board unless the lawyer admits it or gets a DUI or something like that.

I've filed an FMLA leave claim with my employer and I've sent an email to my boss saying that I will file an employment discrimination lawsuit against the company unless they un-fire me. The termination was in violation of ADA mental health protections.

I hope this works out for you. I'm not an expert, but perhaps it'd be in your best interest to get some sort of follow-up medical assessment and/or therapist that you get regular appointments with, that way you have documentation showing that you are making the appropriate efforts for managing your mental health. I'm sure this would bolster your case, but more importantly, could get you some help that you might actually benefit from.

There are a lot of gigs on the periphery of practicing law where you can leverage your JD such as document review and things of that nature that pay some pretty good scratch. Assuming you are unable to practice for a while, you can probably make a pretty comfortable living doing something like that and get some inside tracks to other opportunities.

I really don't know the specifics of the situation you are dealing with, but purely from a professional standpoint: what kind of long term future do you think you would have in a firm or company you need to sue to get back into?

@Nykytyne3 what sort of take would you have on the matter now that you seem to be in a better/healthier mental space? Do you still think that the suggestions for taking down the video were because of some sort of fear of you uncovering an 'uncomfortable truth'? Or do you now understand that people just wanted you to prevent further embarrassing yourself online through delusional ranting?

Sincerely hope you're doing better, as it must suck to be in a state where everything is taken as a personal accusation.

Obviously the bit about a sex dungeon basement was false, so that means 100% is out of the question. But I don't even really know what "it's all" means to you. Do I think 100% of every accusation anyone on the internet made is true? No.
 
A short form of my grand unifying theory of LGBT sexual deviance as it stands today: Childhood sexual abuse causes mental isolation, then mental isolation causes difficulty romancing, then difficulty romancing begets porn addiction and autogynephilia or autoandrophilia, which in some cases leads to pedophilia.

I think the DXM definitely made me overly paranoid, but I still believe there's a serious pedophile problem here on Kiwi Farms and more broadly among groups of older gay and trans people, especially online. As for whether I think you guys were pleading with me in good faith to prevent my embarrassment, that makes me suspicious, because KF is not known for having super empathetic people who only want to prevent others from being embarrassed. In fact, it's dedicated to just the opposite. I think some of you honestly haven't woken up to the pedophile problem, think I'm just crazy, and truly want to help. I think others among you are pedophiles, probably meeting up here and trading CP, and you just wanted me to shut up because you don't want KF shut down. Even the pedophiles among you, I think, for the most part don't wish hardship or death upon me. You just wanted me to shut up. And your wish is granted, unless you want to keep probing my thoughts on the subject. I'm willing to accept KF for what it is. After all, there's some really interesting stuff on this website, and most of you, even the creeps, are really smart and interesting people.

It's more that we (in general) don't really like seeing people end up doing something more potentially dangerous than the usual. It's not every day that a thread subject crosses state lines while bearing arms and being in a dark spot mentally. You're clearly pretty intelligent and I think that attracts more empathy. You were top of a law class weren't you?

Check out the kind of care and worry Terry Davis got from here towards the end when his mental health really started to deteriorate.

I don't doubt there's a problem with elites getting away with pedophilia, but it's not one side or another or even directly tied to LGBT stuff. I'm not sure who here you think is a pedo but you wouldn't be the first lolcow to get that kind of idea in their head. Ironically enough most of the past cases that has been proven to be based somewhat in projection, and I know you've admitted yourself that you've struggled with deviant sexual proclivities and have gotten help for them, which is a good thing to continue doing.

You sticking around and contributing from time to time would be good. Try to take a lesson from the mistakes made though, and use that to grow more as a person. You may have already lolcow'd yourself but it is possible to get better from it. Basically just stay off the non-prescribed drugs and you'll think even more clearly than currently

I haven't had any new revelations, but I want to make sure we're all on the same page here, so I'm gonna start periodically tossing out some bits of (what I think to be) insight which I may not have explicitly written before. Here's a start:

"The Matrix" movie is obviously about waking up to the fact that our world is governed by pedophile sociopaths (machines) who "feed" on babies (humans) and use hypnosis (the matrix) to keep victims unawares, as is "A Cure For Wellness" and many other movies, including "The Prestige" and countless other Christopher Nolan films. (He is a pedo, or at least gay, mark my words). It's no coincidence that both Wachowski boys trooned out and tipped their lady fedoras at ContraPoints. The last film, where Neo merges with the machine, is about accepting the fact that our society is run by perverts and joining them.
